Wow just wow ... Sicko recovery. That pitch clock violation was murder. So why does UNC and the NCAA decide that tonight's game should be on the ACC network? Did not see the game, but guessing the pitch count violation resulted in a Walk during the 8th inning rally?
ESPN owns ACCN, so I believe the game will also be on ESPN+ -- unless they really want to put the screws to Hawkeye fans and make them subscribe to ACCN.

3-2 count on the PH Rivera and men 2nd and third. Of course, there was a chance he'd walk the guy anyhow but it loaded the bases for Magill, who dunked one into right field to score the go-aheads. The lefty for Wright was quite efficient but I think Sogard tried to wedge too much out of him. Tough loss for Wright. The lefty Spencer came in for ISU and threw a nice 9th inning. Davidson was great in relief for the Treehuggers. Not sure on the TV tonight. If they confine it to that network, only half the people will be pissed. But if that goes along with the whole event, then a lot of people will be ticked off. Very boisterous crowd for the Sicks today in that brutal sunshine. Man, the UV rating is off the charts. Not a good place to hang out, that close to a cemetery. Fenlong needs to pitch better than Jachec did, but all in all, Jachec did his job. Sears had a really big clutch hit in the 8th inning. He was not having his best day at 3rd base.

A smart move they did not sent the Hoosiers to Terre Haute. Would of needed temporary bleachers out in the cemetery if an IU vs ISU match-up developed.
I got beat down in the sun last Friday when I went up for the UE/ISU game. Top two rows in front of press box does get some shade relief around 2:30. And that brings us to a selling point for Braun, listen up MVC fans, covered seating in the main section.
There will be some good high school action at the Braun on Saturday. Castle and pitcher Cameron Tilly (Auburn commit) will be taking on Jeffersonville in the Regional championship game at 3pm.
Did any PomPom moms show up today?

Is Tilly going to Auburn or is he gonna sign? He has some pretty high scouting numbers? That's all I know about him, though.

Did not watch, but see NC had one out with 2 on, then next two guys struck out for the Iowa win. Play by play recap shows Iowa blew a lot of scoring chances throughout the game.
Trees vs the Hawkeyes going to be a good pitching match-up. Maybe Caitlin Clark will be in the stands?

Caitlin wants to be an Ace and told the Pom Pom Moms to shout it out. Iowa looked like they were gonna walk all over this one in the first inning but NC was pretty flat. Iowa was lucky. Their relief pitchers choked on a hot dog. If I had to wager, I think the Treestumps are a much better team.

Auburn regional was the big surprise of the night, with Penn disposing of the Tigers (who may of been overlooking the Quakers by deciding not to start their Ace) in extra innings. Looks like Auburn will be praying their pitching recruit from Evansville/Newburgh, Cameron Tilly, doesn't go pro this year.
In the other game, Southern Miss (the one's complaining about why they should of been hosting over the Sycamores) took it on the chin in extras from Samford (no we are not Stanford and we are in Alabama.)
Treestumps going against the Hawks ace today, should be a good one.

I would dearly love an NCAA website that you know, just gives me the damned scores. Instead, I click on something and wait until a dozen scripts load and try to decide which one of them tells me who won, who lost and when they play again. These people really are somewhat anal about their quest to pack everything onto a page.
Just a page that has the scores ...
I see the Fighting Martys of EI-EI-U Charleston got clobbered by the Vanderbilt Tycoons 12-2 and are clinging to a prayer today against Xavier. That series is in Nashville, which is not far from ... oh, Bloomington.
Which means .................
Indiana wants to thump up on the Kentucky Fried Chickens today. The Aces played Indiana recently and got the cheap end of the pole. We have owned them in the past, however.
Muncie Canning Jars in the 0-1 bracket at Lexington against the West Virginia Almost-Heavens.
Best game of the day is in Winston-Salem, home of Earl Monroe and Big House Gaines. There, 6 this evening, the Wake Forest-Maryland game should appeal. Maryland is the fake Big 10 team in the tournament. WF is apparently the best team in all the land.
Outside chance you care that the Troy Trojans can beat the Alabama Slamma's ... Aces opened the season at Troy back when my snow shovel was leaning against the tree. We've come a long way since then.
But not so much, really, in our thinking.

I would dearly love an NCAA website that you know, just gives me the … scores. ATP, The ESPN.com website (more details in post above) provides just the scores for a given day. The NCAA.com website (above) gives you just the scores, as well, grouped by each regional.

So the Wrights got it wrong again.
North Carolina had a better airplane. I still like the S'Mores in this tournament.

Muncie Tech was kicked in the slats by the Western Virginia Hillsplitters by a 13-6 score.
Some of these games are pretty one-sided, considering.
Here's where the winners go:
Super regionals Best of three series
Friday-Sunday, June 9-11 or Saturday-Monday, June 10-12
Winston-Salem Regional winner vs. Tuscaloosa Regional winner Coral-Gables Regional winner vs. Stanford Regional winner Baton Rouge Regional winner vs. Lexington Regional winner Auburn Regional winner vs. Clemson Regional winner Gainesville Regional winner vs. Columbia Regional winner Conway Regional winner vs. Charlottesville Regional winner Nashville Regional winner vs. Stillwater Regional winner Terre Haute Regional winner vs. Fayetteville Regional winner

Most amazing rally by the Sickos. Pottinger with a game-saving catch. If you can, take a look at the bottom of the 8th on replay. Down 4-2 in the eighth inning, Indiana State rallied for five runs on four hits in the inning to stun Iowa, 7-4.
Back-to-back two-run doubles by Miguel Rivera and Grant Magill proved to be the key hits for the Sycamores as they now advance to the regional final.
Iowa got a brilliant start from flamethrowing righty Brody Brecht, who fanned eight while allowing just two hits and two runs over seven strong innings. Unfortunately for the Hawkeyes, the bullpen could not match his dominance. Iowa will now play North Carolina in an elimination game on Sunday afternoon.I assume Lane Miller throws Sunday for the Treestumps. Boonville kid.
