Reviewing the team stats, the assist to turnover ratio is 1.0:1.91. Any team that turns the ball over twice as many times as they have assists is not going to be a good team. The only woman who had a positive assist:turnover ratio is Newman with a 1.12:1.0 ratio. This team definitely needs 2 PG's that do not turn the ball over.

Wow that is an amazing stat and very telling. I can’t say I’ve watched a lot of the women’s games but usually you hear a 2 to 1 ratio with two assists for one turnover is what you’re looking for or better obviously. Even the men last year were closer to one assist for every turnover 291 assists vs 274 turnovers).

If you had seen the quality of passes made in the last few years by our Lady aces you would understand why they had so many turnovers. They weren't necessarily making bad passes (passes that are ill advised) but more like they were making poor quality passes that almost any team could pick off. Wrong pass right time?
And with newman we had some eye popping performances:
PFW --6 ast 4 to Miami(oh) -- 8 ast 4 to Bellarmine -- 12 ast 5 to Valpo -- 11 ast 5 to // 3 ast 5 to Ind st -- 4 ast 0 to (other game cancelled)
And then newman vs better comp
Drake -- 1 ast 1 to // 3 ast 6 to UNI -- 2 ast 3 to // 0 ast 5 to Mo St -- 2 ast 1 to // 3ast 2 to Loyola Ch -- 3 ast 2 to // 0 ast 4 to

I saw some of the most pathetic passes attempted by the women last year that you would not see in a middle school game. No need to revisit specific cases, but I wonder what kind of basketball IQ we recruited. Many if not all of the offenders are gone now but the holes in the wall must be fixed.

Would you all please quit being so negative about the past and give our new coach time to prove herself and see what kind of recruits she is able to bring in. I am looking forward to them meshing with the returning players and being properly coached and conditioned and seeing a much better Lady Aces team.

Thanks for sharing.
From the video she looks like a great pickup and has a lot of upside. She has a good skill set to work with. I think it is great that she has a decent outside shot because you need to keep the defense off balance. But looking at her stat line I would like her to take a higher percentage of shots closer to the basket as opposed to taking like 80% of her shots from outside. Obviously she needs to hit the weight room and bulk up. But she has the potential to be a really really good player. Excited to watch her improvement throughout her years at UE.

It was just flat painful to watch. I, too, look forward to seeing a new approach and talent this season.

Pretty sure that girl she was going up against for finland was awak kuier, who just went number 2 in the wnba draft. If so, I was impressed by her poise against such a talented player in that short set of clips

Yes, she has a great upside from what I can see. I think with the right coaching, and putting on some bulk, she be quite adequate as a #5.

I don't know that 'hitting the weight room to bulk up' is what you tell the female athlete. Then again, this isn't where I go to get that sort of insight.
