That’s 4, and JS is on the clock I am not so sure Schertz has his bags packed for St. Louis. He is engaging with the fans at Indiana State more and more. Just doesn't seem like a guy who has decided to split town with the next loss.

Think there will be more jobs open up that would be a better opportunity for him.

Not to mention if that team sticks together, which seems likely if the boss returns, they would be a national story and almost assured of another league title and NCAA trip. Run it back, make a decent NCAA run, be the hero in Terre Haute as well as the MVC, then see how red and white striped pants look on you.

Cuonzo back to Missouri State. Wonder if he’ll be bringing Hollender back with him?

This Schertz drama is just getting weirder by the day. Reports came out today that Shertz was now the front runner for Louisville. Then, Bob Valvano drops this on his Louisville radio show. Stating Schertz told him that Dusty May backed out of Louisville due to the "vitrol" and "death threats".

Kiyron Powell in the portal for USI. Go ahead and take another victory lap, Evilleintentions. You were right about him all along. K-Powell has been overrated from the start. He belongs in DII at best. An absolute embarrassment given his playing time. To be fair, Gouard was gutted last year. He was lucky to have a roster at all. The portal did not do the Screams any favors owing to their transitional restrictions making it hard to recruit.

If Schertz goes to Louisville, who does SLU turn to? Rumors make it sound like it would be Chris Mack’s job if he wants it, but I’m not sure that he will. Wardle was loosely tied to the job at one point. If Mack’s not interested, he’d be one of the better candidates left for them imo. Could we lose the coaches of the top 3 teams in one offseason?

SLU better have someone on the back burner in case Schertz jumps for Louisville. It would honestly be a little too late in the game to have to start the process over again if JS does snub them.

I have said all along that if Schertz leaves what he has in Terre Haute next year, it needs to be higher than SLU. I still think it will be, but I am not sure how he could be in contention in Louisville with this going on. There is no way those fans would accept a guy that supposedly said this to Valvano about them. They already thought hiring a MVC coach was beneath them.

Kentucky fans waiting to see if Joe Craft (Coal billionaire and biggest booster) is willing to pony up the $33M needed to buyout Calipari. Should know by tomorrow one way or another. That will cause the coaching carousel to spin some more if UK ends up needing a new coach.

Watching Cal coach for $1/yr at a new school (PULEEESEE let it be UofL) bc UK is on the hook for that, while he dumps what would be, his entire salary into the NIL budget - just to whip UK’s Azzzzzz, would be Amazing!!!

Kentucky fans are both incredibly entitled and incredibly stupid. He’s had disappointing results, but there isn’t a viable option that they would be happy with or that would do any better. They need to realize that his run from 2009-2015 was one of the best in CBB history and no one is going to replicate it. That run was also likely fueled by paying players under the table before it was legal. I hope they get what they want and firing Cal sinks their program into irrelevance for a few years.
