Silly me. Thought we could finally play Bradley to a 30 point game. I'd start Braylon Jackson.

Coach has got to do something different. This isn't working at all. And, I don't think Big Ben being out makes them this bad.
I definitely don't have the answer, however, at this point, we're going to have to turn this barge in a different direction.
Maybe start Bailey and/or Cuff?

laughing stock on all levels including the lack of coaching decisions and adjustments Unfortunately, a lot of the concerns and questions about Ragland when he was hired are coming back to light. And these are certainly legitimate concerns until we see consistent improvement. Rotations, lineups, adjustments - just to name a few that you and others have mentioned. I know with a first time D1 head coach there will be a learning curve. But, at some point, we need to see real improvement and progress. And, as we all know, we have not seen that yet.

Horrible guard play with exception of Bailey. Hafner, Bobe and Thomas are not division 1 guards. All 3 are small and slow. Teams know now they can double down once the ball goes inside as our guards aren’t looking to get open to shoot. Players are getting frustrated and seem to be quitting on defense. I guess we will see if Ragland can coach them back otherwise we will remain the laughing stock of the MVC and I am damn tired of that!

Good Lord. I just got home, was unable to watch the game live and I think I will skip the replay. Just when you see light at the end of the tunnel, it turns out to be an oncoming train.

I tend to agree. Saturday night, against Missouri State, we need to sit Strawbridge and Thomas, they are liabilities to the team. Can’t score and can’t guard anyone and just running around. Start Cuff and Bailey, they get after it, they look to score every possession. We need scoring and they provide that. Toumi should have a short lease as well. Cam apparently can’t shoot so maybe sit him as well and put Jackson in. He’s been on the bench all season and I’m sure ready to play.
Totally change the game plan and play these guys. They deserve to be unleashed and freed to do them.

Wow ... WJPS all of a sudden cut to their music programming after only a minute and a half of Jevin's interview with Coach.
I wonder what Rodney Dangerfield would say??

There is a saying “If it’s not broke don’t fix it”. Right now we are broke and it needs fixing.
I have to agree with others we need a lineup change. We need to see better guard play. We have guards who can provide points on a regular basis in Bailey and Cuff. Who were our top two scorers tonight? Bailey and Cuff. We also have Jackson getting a lot of bench time. I don’t know if he is recovering from injuries, but he came here with a lot of promise and the few minutes he has played he looks like he needs to be in the rotation.
As for paint players I don’t see any help on the bench. Hummer doesn’t count. When he returns he’s a starter. Toumi runs so hot and cold that it’s hard to count on him. Hughes is just a big (but old) freshman. He’s a little slow at this point but may improve over time. Just not this year. I’m not convinced Day can play at this level yet.
As I said it’s broke and time to do something.

Starters need to be switched - Bailey and Cuff need to be out there. Part of our problem is our slow starts, resulting in a desperate attempt to catch up. Those holes we dig for ourselves seem to sap our confidence and energy, resulting in lack of focus, hence bad passes, slow moves, and poor rebounding. Our decent shooting skill and drives to the basket get lost in our being scared to do much of anything....and there is no Ben to put points on the board or grab a rebound, or draw away defenders, freeing other shooters. Coach needs to be much smarter in who he plays, and when he plays them. Too many games like these last two and this team's confidence is ruined for ever.... and we DO NOT NEED ANOTHER YEAR OF BEING THE EVANSVILLE WE ARE BECOMING KNOWN FOR!

1. We are not getting good PG play. Can't take care of the ball and plenty of bad passes and decisions. 2. Our bigs are not strong with the ball under the basket. They don't seem to post up much .. they only get the ball at the high post and make bad decisions with the ball, from what I'm seeing. Even with height advantages, we are being schooled on rebounding from smaller, quicker opponents. When an errant shot went up and one Bradley player (Leons) got the ball (with 3 Aces players there), Leons gets it and scores .. that's really sad. 3. We need to be giving Chuck more minutes on the floor. Jackson needs to be given a chance to play. Cuff played well tonight. Throw the preconceived player rotations out. If a starter isn't playing well, let them ride the bench for a longer period of time. I question not playing Bailey and Cuff prior to halftime .. they were producing. 4. We have maybe one outside scoring threat, and he is a freshman. 5. Current guard play (outside of Chuck) is killing us. I'm afraid we will once again be a one and done MVC tourney showing, and probably as a blowout.
6. As has been said, our 3-point defense is non-existent. Easy to get blown out when you give the opposing team so many great looks beyond the arc.
7. Total lack of energy, effort, and competitiveness. That's what makes it really hard to watch. "Us" seems to be beating the crap out of "Us."

Ragland on post game showed that he is upset with the energy and over all play of his team. Coaching is like being the parent. You are the adult. He is head coach it starts with him and ends with him. I believe it is time for him to show some tough love. If his usual players to not respond replace them with someone who will respond. What do you have to loss. Can it be any more embarrassing. You might just teach your starters something. If you rotate them in and they don't give an effort set them on the bench. I believe Bradley got 34 fast break points. Over half of that is just being lazy and not getting back. 22 turnovers comes from dribbling into a crowd over and over again and expecting a different result(Thomas,Strwbridge,Bailey). Need to move Jackson and Day instead of Kalle into line up with some real playing time. Again what is the risk. Bottom line Ragland needs to put his big boy pants on and be a coach. If the players don't listen then bench them even if they are 5th year seniors. To upset to write anything else.

Forgot one more thought. Should would love to have Gabe Spinelli back on team. He was at least quick and played with energy.
