I saw this post last week, but didn't say anything. Doesn't appear the Aces are after him. Josiah may become the next Isaiah Swope ... the one that got away. Thanks for posting this Ace78.

It will be interesting to see how Dunham does at USI. The OVC is certainly not up to MVC standards but it has worked out pretty good for Swope. I agree that I hope we do not regret passing on Josiah, however I think we are looking for older, stronger and more experienced players the portal can offer. That is where the rest of D1 basketball is going and we must follow or get left behind.

By the time he’s a junior or senior, we might regret it, but I’m still not 100% sold on that. It definitely won’t be as bad as missing on Swope if we do miss. Swopes the best guy to come out of Evansville since Dru, and they’re both probably top 5 guys in the last 20 years.

Josiah and swope are not the same at all. Swope was a massive oversight mostly because he didn’t play for a big time aau program. Josiah did so exposure was not an issue. Swope has incredible quickness to make up for lack of height, Dunham does not have that

Dunham to USI. Hope we don’t regret this I very much hope to be wrong, but we are going to regret this. Maybe not next season, but going forward, we will. The kid can play, and knows how to win. That will rub off on his teammates. I hope he does well except for if/when the two teams play one another.

Not aware of whom UE has made offers to for the next 2 years, but looks like of the top 18 Juniors in this State, UE has no offers out there. Plenty of good players in Indiana.

I trust our coaching staff on passing of Dunham.Im wondering if USI was the only D1 school that offered.

An article in the Evansville Courier today mentioned that most of his looks came from NAIA programs. I think a lack of speed and quickness was holding him down and he would never be successful in a conference like the Valley because of it.

At this point USI is the minor leagues for him. Will get playing time and prove himself the first 2 years while auditioning for better programs.

Is this a full scholarship, or preferred walk-on?

Is this a full scholarship, or preferred walk-on? Doesn’t specify, and the fact that it doesn’t specify makes me think he’s a PWO
