I like his game - can shoot the three and can shoot the pull up jump shot from 12-15 feet which is something everyone needs to be much, much more of in today's game because it is almost always wide open with all the over playing. Great signing for the last scholarship. The more players UE has like this the better. He looks like a max effort guy to me and that's always what you want.

I like this guy too. Reminds me a little of Colt Ryan. Versatile game, plays with passion. Lot of free throws for a highlight clip. Bet he draws a lot of fouls. Good addition. Just nice to see video of basketball being played again..

Good signing overall. I don't think this guy will ever be a star but he could be a solid contributor off the bench and you can never have enough shooters. The thing that worries me is can he guard at the next level? His overall athleticism is suspect for sure but looks like a very good fundamentally sound player.

He didn't tweet a lot. Most of the kids tweet something like "Blessed to receive an offer from Coach Blahblahblah and the University of Nowhere Golden Nothings."

Watched some video of him. He's not overly athletic. With that being said, his intangibles could be off the charts which could put him over the top. Not trying to be a contrarian. Just saying what I saw on video. Hopefully he will surprise all of us. I think there's a reason though why he wasn't being heavily recruited. With that being said, mistakes are made every day in recruiting. Let's just hope he's one of those recruiting misses that turns out to be a steal.

If he was a 5-star player, he'd be at UK or Louisville, maybe Tennessee. Not sure I'm all that warped out about his Twitter protocol.

Spot on. John Hardin HS is the size of Boonville, Washington, etc. unless you’re Damon Bailey or Have the size of the Zellers, it takes a LOT to generate interest of the IU, UK, or UL scouting system. They simply have too many “sure things” being brought to their doorstep from all over the country. Hard to say how Alex might develop. He might become another Marty Hill, and I’ll take 2 or 3 of those, thank you.

For the love of God please don't bring back the sleeves. Stuck in the stone ages. Not superstitious, but... Sleeves 808-523 607% No Sleeves 373-400 482%

Not one single person has said he was a 5 star player. All video we see is edited, but you cannot edit a Gatorade POY, a Mr Basketball finalist, and 2 time MVP in his high school division. Most have also recognized he is a bit slow and a tweener size. So was Casebier. A decent pickup that knows how to play the game and win.

You make good points purplestrong. However, and I can cite several examples of this. If you're averaging 30 points a game against the Little Sisters of the Poor it's not going to translate against Superior competition. I'm not saying he was playing low-level competition, but my guess is that if he was playing in the SIAC he wouldn't have had those types of statistics.

I am not sure how to quantify it, but looking at a schedule that includes all the Lexington schools, Bowling Green's Warren Central, etc.. doesn't jump out at me as being obviously inferior to the SIAC.

I hear you but if you look at the last 15 years of the Indiana Kentucky high School basketball series Indiana has pretty much dominated. Higher level of basketball and higher end recruits being produced right here in Indiana. Kentucky high School basketball has not been at the same level overall. Probably 95% of the recruits at UK and Louisville are not coming from Kentucky high schools.
