I guess thinking back to the years when UE played everybody and beat a lot of them, it always seemed there were 5 guys on the court who knew where everyone was, played inside the scope of their natural ability and played fundamentally sound ball. I realize a lot of things are easy to advocate when you're 70-some years old and watching from an easy chair.
If Lickliter does nothing else, I hope he finds 8 or 9 guys who can come into a game, play a reasonably solid game and have a chance to win in the final 4 minutes instead of trying to cut into a 32-11 deficit in the first half. Not knowing much about who they need or want, or whether those guys are available or can -- unlike some of them -- actually DO college classwork without the aid of an agent a mentor ... as fans, I think we should begin to advocate for change.
I won't use the word 'demand' because after all, it's entertainment for me and my only compensation is being allowed to root for the team that represents the school where I got a degree. I also root for most Indiana schools when they get into their various tournaments. (It's fun to see 3 Indiana schools in the Final 4 of the NAIA tournament, seriously).
That being the case, I am hoping Lickliter is bringing in the kinds of players I remember as being important to the lore of the program.
Now, bring back the sleeves!

I would guess the bigger programs passed because of his tweener size and not having a high level of athleticism. Sure looks like he can shoot and punch above his weight though. The MVC seems to be geared more towards physical play vs. high level athleticism anyway. A KY Gatorade POY and a finalist for KY Mr. Basketball......with our 13th scholarship. Yes, I'll take that any day.
We are better off having a roster full of good players vs. 2 game changers and not a lot else. Building the foundation. But if we do have a game changer, it may be a guy that we seem to overlook, Samari Curtis. Mr. Basketball for Ohio, all classes. Good enough to get offers from both X and UC.
Now lets go lock-in Blake Sisley this fall and keep the ball rolling.

Not knowing who are targets outside our geographical area, it seems to me Blake should be our #1 target for November. From what I’ve seen or read, he is a game changer for a mid-major program like UE. Much like Jake LaRavia is for Indiana State.

Well, I'm certainly glad we got him rather some other MVC school where he scores 20 every time he plays against us. I believe he will be a plus player for us, and might be a difference maker against some teams depending on match ups. Yes, he is the type of player that the Aces need, and seems to have skills that cannot be taught.

Video of him reminds me of Casebier. Not huge, not quick, but somehow he managed to score.

I agree on the Casebier comparison. I hope he becomes the next Parrish Casebier but without the off the court baggage. Wouldn’t that be fun to watch!!

Casebier just won the A-League championship at the federal prison, FCI Pekin, Illinois. I heard he led the league in scoring.

I can't speak to sleeves on college basketball players as they relate to convicted sex traffickers, but I suppose I can enjoy the humor.

I’m seeing some things that are surprising to me. Biggest thing is Trey is being listed as 6’9” on the roster. We only had him as 6’7” here. That is a big difference.
Also, all players who have signed. Technically, Iyen and Alex have not signed, and can not sign until they enroll, so makes sense that they wouldn’t be listed right now. So, let’s not lose heads over them not being listed.
