Do we know if Chuck signed his letter today? No news yet but that is not unusual as they don’t usually announce till they receive the documents signed and lots of times not till they receive them from all of the recruits. No announcement from Chuck’s side either. Presuming it is in the mail.

Just dreaming but it would be nice if the receipt of his letter would coincide with a commitment from Moore.

Chuck played a year out here in Arizona and tore up some pretty good competition before deciding to move back east. As a sophomore I believe he averaged about 35 ppg. I don’t see how he cannot be an impact player for the Aces.
With that being said, I say welcome to Evansville Chuck Bailey III.

I was peeking at the Valpo forum a few minutes ago, looking to see if their new coach had picked up any recruits. Under the topic 'NIL', this tweet regarding Chuck Bailey's signing was shown, and a few are wondering how UE could pony up enough cash to "outbid" Kansas and Illinois. "There has to be more behind this." 😄

I have no insight on the NIL part of this, but I see Chuck as a similar player to Marcus (potentially) - so possibly Chuck has a good relationship with the staff and wants to learn from Marcus.

Looks good in an Aces uniform. Welcome aboard. Excited about this signing. Good chance he is the new kind of “one and done” transferring for NIL and bigger stage after one good year at a mid-major. We will have to learn to enjoy them while we have them in the new world order of professional college basketball. Flip side of this that I think our coaches have to figure out how to tap into is the guy who gets 3/4 stars out of high school but rides the pine at another school. NIL cash is great but at some point a kid wants some PT.

I'm as excited about Chuck as anyone, but I'll have to see him play before I can expect him to lead us to the promise land.

Hopefully after his freshman year as an Ace, he will still be committed to turning this storied program around.

Chuck talks a good game and I suspect he can back it up. There is nothing wrong with confidence if you can plug it into the team concept. By choosing a school that has hit rock bottom, he has given himself a great opportunity to prove to the nation that his abilities can be consequential. If his presence is worth 10 additional wins in his freshman year, MVC heads will turn. If it's more than that, wildbill will regret letting Gage Bobe lock him out of the Ford Center.

Even if he doesn’t, I’ll still be happy if he can show future recruits that Evansville is no longer the laughing stock or the MVC and this coach can make the most of talented players and win some games along the way. In the same way that one and done NBA players are good for P5 programs recruiting, one and done mid major players can also boost recruiting by showing recruits that this staff knows how to make the most of talented players. I still hope we can get 2-3 years out of Chuck before he feels the need to move on, but it is the new era of basketball as KYace said and we’ve got to make the most of the talent we have while we have it.
