Dude can shoot...love the way he squares up his shoulders to the basket and quick release...46% three pointing shooting is ridiculous. He should be of help. How much he actually plays I think will be if he can play defense or not. Where did you see he is a 46% shooter? The stats I’m seeing show 36% for last season, which is still good, but not elite like 46%. D2 stats can be hard to track down though, so I hope I am in the wrong here!

If we could sign 1 or 2 quality PGs it would definitely help us. I know I'm dreaming but it would be awesome if we could get the Penn kid or Lander to come home.

IF we can bring in a new, energetic, talented coach then we might have a chance with players like these - I think the spotlight will be on our program if this occurs. A Sleeping Giant, as UE is, awakened and on the move, should be a magnet for young, skilled players seeking a home to offer playing time and a stage for their skills to be utilized. Exciting opportunities await if players are aware and excited to be a part of a program on the move UP.

Hope he reconsiders and stays. You’re probably going to have more fun with a new coach here, Matthew.

The NCAA is such a joke. I hope Ziggy does everything in his power to help Raggsdale get out of his NLI if he decides to go elsewhere

Committed to Black Hills State D2. Best of luck Matthew.

Best of luck to him. I doubt this will be a huge loss, especially if he had no other serious D1 offers. Shooters and guards are easier to find than big men. Either way I wish him the best and that he is happy with his decision.

I agree, but I wish his departure had been the decision of a new coach, and hopefully not because we’ve had a poky HC search. The new guy should be able to recruit guys HE wants, not just accept what is already here. On the other hand, we have several spots to fill. Each day that goes by leaves less on the transfer portal to choose from.

No loss....gives new coach an opportunity to find his own players. I agree with prior post, for him to receive no other division 1 offers I doubt how much of an impact he might have made.

Either way I wish him the best and that he is happy with his decision. He’s pretty friendly on twitter and I’ve actually had some DM conversations with him. He took visits to D1 North Dakota and South Dakota after reopening his recruitment. His best friend plays for Black Hills and they are projected to be a top 10 D2 Team next year. He decided it would be better to chase a national championship at the D2 level with his best friend than to go Division 1 and play for a below average program (my words, not his) just to say you played Division 1. Can’t say I blame him for that. Best of luck at Black Hills! You and other posters are right though that he won’t be that hard to replace. Would’ve still liked to have seen him suit up for us for two years during the transition though.
