Looks like the Men’s program picked up a pretty good combo guard in 6-4 Logan McIntire from North Harrison HS in Ramsey, Indiana. Highlight videos are available from various sources.

His offers don't look great from what I've seen on Twitter, but maybe this staff sees something. Who knows maybe we got to him early before his stock went up a bit.

True but he did visit Western Kentucky and Eric Gardner of Prep Hoops had some good things to say. Looks like Logan Baumann was his primary recruiter.

Sisley and Heritage Hills played McIntire and North Harrison last year. MaxPreps had some highlights and it looks like he has a sweet stroke from deep. If Fred can get 30 minutes a game, then surely this kid deserves a shot. Twitter also shows that he has athleticism.

Well, they did beat Silver Creek last year early in the season. Their schedule seems mid-range competitive. These are the guys that UE has always attracted and I don't think that should really change. These are the players who, in the past, didn't get much PT as frosh. But with the all-star programs they experience now, they are likely more ready to step in. Then it becomes a matter of lateral movement. I think I like this decision.

We have 6 seniors on this roster (Evan, Noah, Juwan, Shamar, Iyen and Emmette). Not sure, if the last four mentioned are eligible to come back for a fifth year or if they would come back but I think we likely have several spots to fill. So I would agree that the staff must think he is good enough to sign and lock in now before interest picks up. Hopefully they made the correct decision. As always time will tell. I take it that he is more of a shooting guard than a point guard, is that correct? So I am guessing that we will need to recruit another point guard for next year to back up Troy as Shamar will be eligible to graduate. Note: Emmette is listed as a PG as well but for some reason I thought that he was more of a scorer, but he might have an extra year as well (or two since he was likely redshirted last year possibly). Not sure if anyone can clarify the current point guard situation going into Logan’s freshman year. Thanks.

Which is great - but I dont' see him being a future option at the PG spot. I had thought Blaise was more of a PG - but I honestly don't know either. We'll have to see what they can give. I hope Blaise will be able to help us given how poorly we have done with JUCO guards. I like us signing someone who can shoot. How long it takes him to develop - we will have to wait and see. One thing we know is you can never have too much shooting. I still see that as a weak spot this year unless we can see some of the new guys fill that need. We should be stronger up front though and that should help. I don't understand much about the extra year. From what I do understand Juwan, Shamar, Iyen and Emmette could come back - but if they do they take up a roster spot. I highly doubt they all come back. It's very confusing so I could be wrong on that.

Juwan, Shamar, Iyen and Emmette (and everybody who played last year) will have another year of eligibility. It's like 2020-21 didn't happen as far as eligibility goes. Unlike this year, however, seniors who come back for an extra year in 2022-23 will count toward the scholarship limit.

Sounds like he definitely needs to add weight. Verbal Commits has him listed as 6'3" and 145. 😳
