This is getting exciting. The ladies really need to play in Ford Center again.

Only two players on this team are smaller than 5-10 and they are the point guards. We are building on the principal that size matters. It’s hard to play an uptempo game if you can’t get the rebound. Hopefully this will improve the overall play in the paint too.

Assuming that the long shot is likely the least productive component of a women's basketball offense, the idea that getting the ball inside will improve shooting percentages. Having a lot of depth is clearly an advantage in a couple of ways. But there is still a need for a strong backcourt.
I go for the 8-foot shot over the 18-foot shot. Run 'em in, run 'em out.

Thanks for the video on Elly Morgan. She seems to be a well-rounded player that does whatever the team needs (ballhandling on pushing the fast break or shooting the three or looking for the open (wo)man. Seems like a very good addition and at 5-10 gives us some height for a ballhandler.

I've been fooled before looking at video highlights of high school players, but this looks like a real nice player who can do a lot of things. I like the way she finishes at the basket, but I do realize that they never show the misses. I think that the women's basketball program at UE is on the rise.

Also note that some of the video was from games played in 2019. She was quite young then and her improvement might be considerable.

Terrific HS player in St Louis and played her freshman year at Alabama A & M before transferring to Wabash Valley where she was once again a prolific scorer.
Once again Coach RSW is adding quality players to her Lady Aces program. I’m really looking forward to see how this team comes together next fall.

Thanks for posting these videos from games at Wabash Valley as they show how her game has improved. Most impressive is her 3-point shooting. She can score from around the arc and not just one favorite spot. Also, she shoots from well beyond the line and not from the line itself. While these videos are of positive outcomes and against JC competition, they show the level of skill she has. The Valley teams will be a lot harder to play against but she will be an important piece of the puzzle.

Especially deadly in the corners. Moved well with or without the ball and looks like she will be a great fit in our new system. Even better thing about every single commit is that they will all be eligible this next season.

Sounds like another great addition. I see she is from Wabash Valley College in Mount Carmel, Illinois. Tyra played at Mount Carmel High School. She definitely has some similarity in her offensive game to Tyra and then the opportunity to be coached by her. I have to wonder (and hope) that had something to do with her coming to UE.
