No loyalty to anything anymore. That’s what you get when you allow children to run things. Every year I watch a little bit less and less of college basketball and it’s getting to the point where I’m about ready to just completely turn it off. It’s saddens me where we are at right now.. I'm right there with you.

Seeing what Domask and Jones accomplished this year does not bode well for keeping the top MVC players.

Seeing what Domask and Jones accomplished this year does not bode well for keeping the top MVC players. MVC produces players of this caliber, yet the "selection committee" can't find a way to let more than one MVC team into the dance. Avila and Swope should be there.

This is disturbing... hoopshd.com/ncaa-tournament-survival-board/ If the NCAA can't do any better than this, maybe "Indianapolis/State of IN" should pull their tax deferments and follow the lead of Kansas? The irony is that BOTH have significant legacies that anchor NCAA hoop traditions. Has anyone seen any recent articles re: the economic balance of the NCAA Headquarters to the State of Indiana?
How much has this "snub" cost ISU? Present? Future?

How much has this "snub" cost ISU? Present? Future? [/div][/quote] It’s pretty much impossible to say an exact amount. I’m sure an NCAA tournament appearance rally’s the donors a lot more than an NIT appearance does. When you factor in that they had a team capable of going on a serious run if there 3s are falling, it could’ve cost them millions in free marketing. If they made the sweet 16 and were the talk of the college basketball world for the full week between opening round and the sweet 16, you can hardly put a price on that kind of marketing, and it would only go up the more games they won.

The snub costs the entire conference a chunk of change. With 2 "units" in play, and if both Drake and the Sycs advance, that's another "unit." I don't know how much NIT money is involved with this. They will get home games and that's worth something. If they get to Hinkle, I'd hope they fill the joint. It's probably easy to find how much Loyola brought back to the Valley. I know that the Horizon hatched a lot of eggs with Butler's two final game appearances -- paid out over several (6, I think) years. I also don't think there are restrictions on how that money is spent, within obvious guidelines.

Nate Heise from UNI is evidently interested in a new dorm. I like that guy's game.

So how many Aces does everyone think will enter the transfer TOILET.With the 2 transfer rule in effect I can see UE having at least 4 or 5 players.

USI has lost its top 2 scorers and Bosse product Powell to the transfer TOILET. I thought Powell was better than he turned out,but he didn't seem to adjust to the college game,so I think Rags will pass on him.

I don’t think there will be as much turnover as you think. I’m hoping only 2-3 and losing no major pieces. Toumi seems like he is likely going to go pro in Europe, so we have two open scholarships right now. Add two more open schollys and we can hopefully add enough impact players and quality depth guys to take the next step next season.

None of them have gone into the Portal yet because their season isn't over. I only honestly see one or two players who might be considering it. Straw, Bobe and Thomas are all graduating anyway. Not sure on Cuff or Hum yet. Bailey might leave. Hughes has shown to have potential. I think there will be teams tampering with him. Toumi might leave if he has eligibility left, or maybe he wants to try a pro league in Africa or Europe. Haffner probably will stay. All of them can be replaced, but man ... it's gotta be tough trying to build a loyal roster now.

I don't want to name players who I think will leave, but as a Aces fan it will hurt our team. Rags will have to reload with players who can be a starter.
