Looks like the NCAA is not allowing fans at the tournament this year.
If true, how in the heck will schools be able to collect checks? Is there enough TV money to cover it?

Most of the money comes from TV contract not ticket sales.

This is just ridiculous. What a total overreaction. If they are really that concerned, cancel the whole damned thing.

I think it was the late 70s. A storage tank at the Mt Vernon refinery exploded and threatened surrounding tanks. As emergency teams arrived from multiple agencies they noticed across the fence on the golf course a group of older women still playing golf. They removed them and a news reporter ask them what they were thinking, what with all of the fire and explosions and such, and one of the women replied "THIS TO SHALL PASS", now whos shot is it?
No truer words have been spoken.

I see it coming now.
All major teams pull out of the tournament, but the NCAA decides to soldier on. UE gets the call. In front of 0 fans, UE pulls out a one-point victory over Alcorn St. and cuts down the nets as national championships. The end of the nuttiest college basketball season ever.

NCAA has just announced that all winter and spring championships have been cancelled. Yes March Madness as well.

Imagine how we’d feel if the Aces finally received a bid and still didn’t play a round.

I can't believe they actually canceled the tournament. I am totally shocked. I still think it's a great overreaction.

Dude, not trying to be offensive, but as a health care professional I can't tell you just how stupid of a remark you just made. Should I ever come across you in public, I hope I have a protective mask near by.

I agree Letsgo. For someone or anyone to believe that a basketball game is more important than the health of the community, the country or the world is absurd.
