Maybe he was always overrated. Why KY picked him up I will never know because he’s totally out of his league there.
As for UE as a middle of the road mid-major we might still be the perfect place for his skills.

Don't forget the two (2) subsequent crib shots under the rim blown by Toumi. He's simply not strong enough to finish after pulling up his dribble that deep in the paint. Needs to add a shot or two into his arsenal WHILE in attack motion...dish, or kick out of traffic.
Curious...is UE still charting the Linton hotshot that 1st signed w/ Dawkins @ UCF than floated back N to those green pastures of Lexington?
Why would UE want a guy who only scores 0.4 points a game, has 0 assists and throws the ball away every 9 minutes he plays? Because he’s a stud and is going to be a first team all MVC caliber player by the time he’s a junior. Being the last guy on the bench for a top 25 UK team doesn’t change that. If he does decide to look elsewhere for more PT, I would think we’ll definitely be in the mix. Hopefully they can land him. He’d put us into MVC title contention next season if we return everyone else.

Some mock drafts have as many as eight UK players going in the draft. This link from two days ago has their two starting guards (Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham) going in the top four picks. He would be a great pickup for the Aces. I believe we were in his final few teams before he picked UCF and UK. www.cbssports.com/nba/news/2024-nba-mock-draft-french-star-alex-sarr-goes-no-1-kentucky-has-two-players-in-top-four/amp/

I certainly hope that Nic Book will decide to join the Aces. I believe Nic would be a strong addition to next year's team.

DUDE, IT WAS SARCASM. GET IT? S-A-R-C-A-S-M. That's when something so obvious is so stupid as to really not be that difficult to understand. I should give you the award for once again being CAPTAIN OVERREACH. Like, when you look at a guy's stat line and see that he's taken 2 shots all season and has 1 turnover and no assists. And you say, "gee who'd want a guy who has made 1 basket all season. And everyone says, 'yeah, who'd want somebody who can't even pass off to his teammate.' And other people say, "I don't get it. The Aces would win the title if this guy was on the team.' And then you have to explain it.

Tough loss. We missed many shots before the missed free throws. Our defense in 2nd half was terrible alot of times. Cuff is a very cool customer. Love to watch him play. I have been on Kenny all year. I must give credit when credit is due. He played I think his best game since being here. Very nice job. Tomey (never can spell) on the other hand did not play well. Josh does not need to go outside the paint area to cover someone on defense. He has to learn to move his feet. I think this will come in year 2. Still love his energy. Bobe and Thomas were not a good match up against Murry. Over all happy with the way we played. Can't beat a 45 footer and the end. Play hard Tuesday Aces!!

Yeah, I can’t complain about this game. It came down to the wire, and Murray made a play. Now, would Wood have been so confident in that step back 27 footer if they were down and knew that it was score or lose? I doubt it, but when you know that if you miss the game goes to OT, you can afford to play that shot a little looser.
I said before that I see a path to four, and I still see it, but this one just made it a lot more difficult for the time being. The way now is we have to to beat Drake or the Trees at home to be able to do it. Tall order, but the boys are showing moxie if I’ve ever seen it.

Hughes is playing like a freshman, which shows up at times against older more physical players. It shows at times when he doesn't go right back up and murder the putback shot. As time goes on, he will become the big man we remember seeing in the late 80s when the Aces were building a D-1 resume.

Drake = beatable if the refs don't let lifetime college player Darnell Brodie build a weekend home in the paint like they are inclined to do. Indiana State = have fun and see if something can be learned from it. The best hope there is that UE can shoot 58 pct or better.

I would have loved to see a win - but I said before the season started I just wanted to see competitive basketball. If they do that night in and night out I'm happy. Playing like that on the road is a huge step in the right direction. We've got a tough game Tuesday and some winnable road games after that. Hopefully they don't let that game bother them and they use it as motivation for the game Tuesday. After what happened at Drake I really hope we come out motivated and really give them everything we've got. If we play like we did against Bradley I think we can beat them.
