Looks like Aces basketball has reached an all time low as far as local media coverage. There is not one single story on the Courier website about last night's game, as I write this. It's not like UE was playing at Seattle, Utah State, Pepperdine, Providence, UTEP, or some other faraway destination. BTW, the places I mentioned are all places UE has played at in the past with local reporters there. There has to be, and if not, should be someone available to cover a game against a big rival within a relatively short drive. At least watch it on TV or online like during Covid, and then make a phone call or 2 for some quotes. Fans are rightfully asking for answers to questions regarding NIL deals for players, and injury concerns, etc. But nobody can get answers to those or any questions if there is nobody around to ask them. Anthony is a good writer, but like a player on IL, he can't contribute if he is dealing with other things and not available. There should be someone around who can at least provide token coverage. Maybe the answer is, UE should have one of their students that is interested in journalism, covers the team home and away and he does a game story for the UE Athlete Website. Also....Did it appear to anyone else that the Aces reverted back to playing like they did last year with too much one on one play and forcing shots against Indiana Teachers College?
