Some other NET rankings of interest: #28 Cincinnati #56 Indiana State #76 Drake #107 Bradley #108 Southern Illinois #125 Illinois Chicago #212 Evansville I think Evansville is actually #113 not #212 according to what I'm seeing. However they are #212 in Kenpom. That would be a little more believable. What makes even less sense would be SIU dropping 28 points AFTER beating OK State.

Correct, will update when I can but I think I was listing KenPom rankings. Thanks for correcting me. Tough when I try to do this on my iPhone instead of desktop/laptop.

Just have to beat Bellarmine by 40 to move back up. Were in position for 3 straight blowouts if we bring the intensity and play to our potential the next 3 games. If we pull that off, I would think we could get below 175 heading into the Cincy game.

Considering how pissed off Davenport was after the game last year, I have a feeling this game has a big red circle on it.

It's really helpful for people who do not have much time to get all the info in one place. Plus, it's a breath of fresh air to see somebody truly try to be helpful and not get involved in meaningless squabbles.

My personal thoughts after about a month of games is that we are not in the bottom 120 D1 teams. After the BYU and Missouri State games and the close games against UNI and Chattanooga, I doubt we are a top 120 team (but possibly). More than likely we are a middle of the pack D1 team (this year) and that is not a bad thing as that is a huge jump (up) from the last couple of years.
Where we are specifically (in the middle of the pack) is definitely debatable and should sort itself out through the course of the year. But a “middle” of the pack showing in the MVC this year would be a huge improvement (understatement).
The goal should continue to be to continue to make improvements until we are competing for MVC championships and regular NCAA bids and possibly even win a game or two in the tournament. Rags and staff have us headed in the right direction.

Well Said...and I think you are spot on about being in the "middle of the ranking pack" which is a nice improvement over last year and the few years before that. +100

12 Indiana St. 47 Drake 66 UIC 73 Southern Ill. 103 Bradley 107 Missouri St. 113 Evansville 141 Belmont 161 UNI 192 Illinois St. 230 Murray St. 297 Valparaiso
Newest NET from after yesterday’s games. Valpo has moved to sub 300, and as of current, 8 teams above 150, 10 teams above 200. Birds are trending the wrong direction, dropping from 155 to 192.
So with that, I think I will do a team stock at this point:
Indiana State (12 current, 18 last) Sell. I can’t see the stock being any higher than it currently is, and if they lose, they will be punished pretty severely, even though I see them finishing top 50.
Drake (47, 73) I would hold. There is an outsiders chance that they finish top 50, and can see them not taking much of a tumble.
UIC (66, 56) SELL. Everyone believed they were going to be a mid pack team, and currently they are over valued, and the loss to the birds at home really shows it. Get what you can now before the fall comes.
SIU (73, 79) Hard hold. Diamond hands for a few weeks. They could potentially be the new “GameStop”. But for now, let’s see what they do.
Bradley (103, 98) The enigma. 6-0 to start, and really struggled at times during that start. Since, 0-3 (two in conference) and really struggling. If you sold two weeks ago, you are a genius, but sell now as I don’t see them hitting rock bottom yet.
Missouri State (107, 112) Buy. This team has top 100 potential, and definitely within striking distance.
Evansville (113, 111) Another buy, as they area team that has not hit their peak yet. A top 100 finish is very possible, giving the Valley the possibility of 5 teams in the top 100.
Belmont (141, 153) On the fence for this one. Hold would be the solid bet here. But I can see them going up as well. So I would ultimately say buy.
UNI (161, 181) Buy. Nothing else to say. Just buy. A solid top 140 team here and moving fast.
Illinois State (192, 155) Inconsistent play is the word of the day for the birds. They lose to Norfolk State in their return to Horton game, and not only did they lose, but they could get within arms length during the game. It seemed that NSU was leading by 6-8 points every time I looked. I’m sorry, but you have to sell here.
Murray State (230, 209) Hold. Give it another week and see what happens, although they could finish in the top 200
Valpo (297, 301) Buy. I see a bit of an upward trend.

Evansville jumps to 94 in the NET after beating Bellarmine yesterday. Both Murray and Valpo plummet after home losses.
