Will be interesting to see if Bailey starts next game, and who's position he takes over. I've never been concerned with who starts. To me it is about how many minutes. Some guys play better when they can sit and see the action, I think especially true for young guys. I won't pretend to know if that would be the case for Bailey, but the staff will. As long as he is getting the appropriate minutes I really don't care who is on the floor to start.

Valley refs are low-hanging fruit for a pretty good reason. Over the seasons past, even when the Aces were under-talented, the officials made the game about themselves. The first 10 or so ticky-tack fouls don't seem to matter in the first half but by the middle of the second half, you add on a couple more and suddenly your defense has to stand flat-footed or get DQ'd. The game has changed and officials have a tough job. But they also need to understand how/why the game has changed. Hand check fouls are just stupid. Spending 5 minutes at the review monitor should have been managed by the NCAA. It hasn't been. I think that Jerry Pollard doesn't like UE. We've never had good games that he has officiated.

I am in no way discouraged by last night's performance. Last year's team gets blown out in this one. Cuff is my favorite player, sees the court so well. Makes good decisions with few mistakes. The sky's the limit for Chuck Bailey. Oh my goodness. Strong, quick, shooter, driver. Aggressive defender. Too aggressive at times. His game will just get better with experience. I never like to project players into the next level but he could find himself in the NBA. Excellent! We'll TCB on Saturday against the UNIs! Hope Aces fans respond to this team's efforts resulting in a total turnaround from the past few seasons. I estimate 5k+, although I feel these Aces are worthy of 7K+. Stay tuned, sports fans! I like Cuff as well. We need to focus on keeping Cuff, Bailey, Hughes, Jackson and the rest happy so they stick around.

After some thought on last night we can't be dissapointed. We just went 2-1 on the road. We have a good shot getting back on track Saturday. Hopefully we have around 7k that will have the FC rocking. Fill the Ford Saturday and show these boys some love. Excited what Ragland and the staff are building. Now we need to support these boys like the city of Evansville used to.

If there’s a silver lining, our Kenpom rating was 203 going into the game and is still 203 coming out of it since we fought back in the end. Big opportunity to beat #124 UNI on Saturday and get out of the 200s for good hopefully.
We’re still on track to hopefully be 10-3 heading into 2024, and that is significantly better than any of us would’ve ever expected a month ago. I know I was only expecting 10-12 wins coming into the season, and we should hopefully wildly exceed those expectations.

I just finished watching the game, my take is both teams were playing physical, but only one team was getting fouls called for the physical play. Lee should major in theatrics. I feel like Cuff and Bailey should be starters as a matter of face I would probably start Hughes as well. Especially for December before we get into the meat of the conference schedule. I think we just need to play a little smarter the next time we play them and get a body on Benson.

I think that Jerry Pollard doesn't like UE. We've never had good games that he has officiated. Pollard has been a thorn in UE for many years no reason to stop now. I don't think he liked the way Merfeld talked to him back in the day. Must be a elelican ... never forget...

I don't think the foul situation cost us a victory, we did a lot of reaching in,Kalle, which I believe day should play in front of him, basically knock there player down 30 feet from the basket.

Kalle is a waste agree play anyone in front of him. Pollard use to automate for call 2 fouls in a row on Colt Ryan in the day. I don't understand how he gets so many big games. Oh well life moves on.

I felt like Clay would bump Ben H many times when he was trying to shoot and it wasn’t called. He knows what he can get away with his 33 years old and has been in the league 10 years…..lol

Alright. I have to believe the Aces will respond with a win @ the fabulous Ford Center on Sat. The encouraging take from the MoSt. game is that our guys fought to the end. Let’s get on the UNIs early and often and leave no doubt that invading the FC will be a tough task for opponents this winter. Just seeing the fight the Aces displayed against MoSt. is proof positive things are turning for the better for Evansville basketball. Come on, Aces fans! This group deserves a raucous crowd tomorrow @ High Noon in Downtown Evansville!

So I finally got to watch this game on replay (except the last 6/7 minutes).
The thing that really stood out to me (especially with their big men) was how much quicker and athletic that they were. Also we did a very poor job of putting a body on their big men (on blocking out) - a very poor job. Some of this seemed to be just “laziness” of not knowing who their man was to block out (with all of the switching); some of it was due to MSU’s two man pick and roll play where no one (and I mean no one would pick up the big man, especially Benson). One time, no one picked up the shooter (and Chance knocked down the wide open, uncontested three) as both defenders picked up the big man.
We have to get better on defense as we are not going to win many games giving up 90+ points a game.
Also Cam seems to be lost on the court and is not helping us (at the moment). Hopefully it is just a funk that he is in and he breaks out of it soon.
Hopefully we turn this around against UNI today.
