It is crazy how they have been reduced to leading one Aces Aces chant and then standing around the rest of the game. I feel like even 5 years ago they came out to lead 2-3 Aces Aces chants and would occasionally do flips across the court?
Maybe I’m misremembering, but I thought they were much more active pre COVID. Now they don’t even really lead the Aces Aces chants, we get random community members to do it, and half of them don’t go to enough Aces games to get the cadence on the chant right. I don’t think anyone besides Adam Wing has been able to do it in the same rhythm as the crowd.
Of course, none of this really matters as long as we are winning on the court. I’ll gladly take the paycheck from Leroy’s tavern to help making winning possible over an extra Aces Aces chant during a TV timeout.

As long as we keep this direction going you will see new traditions arise. When we start filling the Ford all will sort out as far as how crowds keep in the game. This City has been starving for good basketball. We as fans have to get back to what we were used to 20 years ago. It will take some time.

Um ... Taylor Swift songs and Lawrence Welk songs have one thing in common ... well, actually two things in common. Three if you include any Porky Pig interpretations. Anyhow, I think cheerleaders are A-OK, but it would be nice to see them actually, you know ... lead a cheer. I'm uncertain how you know from your vantage point that cheerleaders don't lead cheers at the Ford Center. ESPN or any other network doesn't show the floor during timeouts. They do show GEICO, Liberty Mutual, Progressive, State Farm, State Farm and State Farm. You need to get out more. I've actually been to some games in recent years. Is how I know.

There is another problem. Up to two inches of snow expected to fall early in the day. A tiny fraction of that paralyzes the locals. There might be a white-out surrounding the Ford Center. I wouldn't drive to Murray State in the snow so I guess I would be a paralyzed local. Looks like the only whiteout will be in the stands 🤞🏻 Ticketmaster looks like there’s probly only 600 or so tickets left in the lower level

Someone tell them to bring back the cheer done during a timeout break with the 4 corners of the crowd getting a letter -- A -- C -- E -- S -- it was simple and didn't require too much from the fuddy duddies, except belting out an A,C,E or S every 10 seconds.

Anyhow, I think cheerleaders are A-OK, but it would be nice to see them actually, you know ... lead a cheer. Responding to cheers cuts into precious cellphone time. Good luck with that. The cheerleaders are also situated closest to the fans with deep enough pockets to afford those center court seats. Those people tend to be prim and proper and could lose social status by raising their voices and getting a hair out of place while being seen on the giant screen above. With empty student section seats on one end and drunks-in-training on the other, cheering opportunities are limited. The loudest fans at Roberts Stadium were in the cheap seat bleachers. That is where Crazy Man patrolled. If he had tried to patrol closer to the floor he wouldn't have acquired a following. He would have been asked to leave. There is another reason why cheerleaders aren't what they once were. I'm not sure how many quadriplegics ago it was, but cheerleaders used to form pyramids and hold up letter cards. In those days it was necessary to have ripped male cheerleaders to lift the perky payload. Between lifts they tapped large plastic cones on the floor for the sake of noise. When cheer gals were grounded the need for barrel-chested he-men ended. Google it. Let me sit in that section. Last time I took my grandson to a game at the old Stadium. I was screaming so much and stomping in the old bleachers. He kept trying to calm my down. I thought it was funny. they will learn to cheer and yell with me or move on.

Doubt we get anywhere close to Murray state attendance, but hopefully this deal will lead to 5,000+ in attendance for the ‘99 reunion.
