With the recent additions of Kaia and Ramondo for next year, and one scholarship left, I'm hoping we can get Nic Book on board. I guess we shall see how things turn out. Would be a great addition and with Ramondo only being a two year guy, it would still leave plenty of PT opportunity for him in his career. Could also see Toumi forgoing the COVID year and leaving the program after this season, which would allow for immediate minutes for both Ramondo and Nic.

I’m not sure what Nic’s thinking is about choosing a college but I know he had interest in UE long before Kaia signed. His family is very athletic so none of this recruiting process should overwhelm him.
Being from New Zealand I would think places like NYC or other large metro areas could be uncomfortable and pose adjustment issues especially in large campus schools. One thing that could be in our favor is the family atmosphere of the Aces, the coaching staff and how players are accepted into the community. In a recent interview Hughes said how families in Evansville invited him over to dinner and gave him a family to relate to while he was away from his own. I also read where the team was doing some community service and Sekou Kalle met up with a mother and daughter and he asked the mother if it was ok to buy her daughter a present. Priceless!!
I see a lot of “big” schools who use scholarships as an insurance in case something happens to the primary recruits. Just look at Joey Hart at Kentucky. I think he sits next to the walkons on the bench. Joey was a 3-star recruit that is on a team full of higher rated players and I don’t know if he will break that glass ceiling.
Based on what I’ve seen albeit limited I think Nic would excel at UE and the Valley. I hope we will see an announcement from him that he is 110% committed to UE.

Nic attended last nights UE/TN Tech game. Thats awesome. I hope we can get him back for Murray State if possible. I would think that environment could help sway a recruitment.

Nic has been very complimentary of UE in past interviews, etc. Sure hope we can get Nic signed on, especially now that Humrichous decided to leave us.

Now if we can just round up Nic Book we will be solid in the 3-4 positions.
