Funny how a lot of people have turned a evil opinion of Marcus since he is no longer with the program. Just saying.

For anyone wanting more information on the specifics of NIL opportunities for international student athletes, these articles are a pretty good starting point: I'm thinking just might be able to sneak around all these NCAA rules and regulations by after recruiting an international student, fly him into Mexico and have him walk across the border and claim refugee status. Easy Peasy

Hey I’m not the smartest guy on this forum, but I think it’s clear Wilson is hurt over something. He is not helping the Aces with this tweet.

Hey I’m not the smartest guy on this forum, but I think it’s clear Wilson is hurt over something. He is not helping the Aces with this tweet. I think that has been clear for awhile. He ridicules people who make assumptions on why he left, yet refuses to give his own explanation and has made numerous vague tweets about the program since. It is odd behavior. To add fuel, he also is publicly refusing to participate in the 1999 ceremony. As others have said, that smacks of pettiness and disrespect to his teammates as well as to the university and program. He needs to remember the university gave him an education as well as an opportunity to play and be a star at the D-1 level. The university and Ragland also gave him the opportunity to return to coaching at the D-1 level. I'm sorry it didn't work out for whatever reason, but he needs to put it aside and be grateful for what it has given him. Regardless, fans calling him a douchebag on his twitter account doesn't advance the conversation or heal any wounds that may be out there.

Here is an idea to help us mid-majors. If a player stays 4 years with non-P6 schools and graduates, let him have an additional 5th year of eligibility where they can transfer to a P6 school. Limit the P6 schools to one grad player per year. Idea came to mind as I was watching Marcus Domask play for Illinois last week. Sort of a crazy idea, but seems like a win/win where the player can go earn some NIL money after 4 years with a mid-major program, and I won't be all butt-hurt about it.

Marcus is 100% correct. We will not be able to pay for the players to stay when they have $ waving in front of them. And I can't blame them. Marcus is not wrong. I have no way to know his motive, but he is telling the truth. It’s not like players won’t know this either, it is the Wild West in college athletics and there are people reaching out all the time. Tampering is now sanctioned.

I do believe that he is engaging in a subset of tampering, and with malice. Just don't count on me to sanction it.

I was a Marcus supporter until the latest tweet. I asked myself, if Marcus was still on the coaching staff, would he have posted such a thing. The answer I get is absolutely no way. This is simply a case of a butt-hurt former coach trying to cause problems. It’s classless and infantile.

The NCAA is nothing more than a money machine. They're going to ruin sports for every school except the P6 schools. Mid majors should break away and form their own league.

That is going to happen, but it's the P6 (actually P4) that will be doing the leaving. I'd give that another couple of years when some of the current scheduling contracts begin to expire. Eventually, the mid-majors will have to form their own networks just to show the games because ESPN and Fox won't have any air time left for them. You won't get that subscription for free either. Enjoy this while you can.

I see that Marcus strikes again. Funny how much crap I got when I was reading between the lines on this self promoter. Always trust your instincts. The guy is telling us who he is.

While watching Texas play Washington lastnight in football the commentator said that the Texas QB originally signed with Ohio St.His NIL amount was a cool 1 million. That is absolutely insane. I was wondering since he left Ohio St. if he got to keep the money or return it.
