What would be cool is if you could get The Watson Twins and Rami to work together and collaborate on a hype video. Yes, I get that hype-type music isn't what they typically do, but all three are incredibly talented and I am certain given the parameters of the task, they could put something amazing together. I did have the pleasure of meeting the Watson Twins when they performed at Wesselman Park a couple weeks ago. I spoke with Chandra. I casually mentioned how great it would be if they performed at an Aces game. She just said 'Well, you never know'. At least she didn't shut down the idea. They live in Nashville. Still thinking about giving Ziggy a nudge to promote the idea..

Anthony wrote an article this morning that predicted a starting 5, amongst other things. His predicted starters are: Antonio Haffner Strawbridge Humrichous Toumi Not sure about Toumi defensively at the 5, but he certainly could create some mismatches on the perimeter with that lineup.
Not getting real technical here, but what I see from a birds eye view of our team this year:
Antonio - will have to wait and see, but for now will say this is a slight downgrade from Marvin Coleman. Haffner - definitely an upgrade and his shooting will stretch the defense Strawbridge - per Rags his game has improved, so count this as an upgrade Humrichous - yes, yes, yes....great improvement over last year. Toumi - with better players around him, will he stay within the offensive scheme (where he was best last year)
Bench - an overall upgrade as injuries hurt us last year, but with Kalle, Bailey (how quickly will he develop), Bobe's leadership (sorry Wild Bill) and the others we have solid substitutes to start the season. Which newcomers will surprise us?

Do coaches really use the traditional 1-5 player labels anymore? Not really, they do more of a grouping Either: 1 - PG 3 - Wings 1 - Post OR 2 - Guards 2 - Wings 1 - Post OR 3 - Guards 2 - Posts Etc, but you get it Maybe someone watching the other day could tell us which one Rags is using. Players don't have wings. I learned that from someone here but I can't remember who.

In a little more than 48 hours, I will be swilling down a cold one at the upper Ford Center bar gazing down upon what Ragland's improved recruiting hath wrought. Wabash will tell us very little about whether or not this team has wings but it will give us more information about our bench than we learned in the 8-minute Meeks scrimmage.

Of COURSE they have wings. They aren't dinosaurs, you realize. Otherwise, I'd say a roster thread has pretty much outlived its value. But there are nuances, I suppose.

I for one am glad that Marty's dinosaur offense is in the rear view mirror. Those were some terrible dactyl years. If you needs a refresher, look at Eastern Illinois.

Still early but from what I have seen, Joshua Hughes is the real deal. I would say that he is as good or better than Egidijius as a freshman and the Big E lead the nation in rebounding and double doubles his senior year, so that is saying a lot.
Josh can also step out and hit the three. Thoughts? Agree/disagree.
Time will tell (as always).
