Are you sure you wouldn't rather be found right than hope the best for him? There is a lot of unbecoming dart throwing around here at players who leave the team. How many have you thrown at those you pretend to care about? And oh, if others helped Trey make a decision to improve his life and he accepted the help, so much so that he hasn't let a bruised ego and hurt butt prevent him from humbly returning as a Purple Ace, that's another feather in his cap. More power to him. Putting ego aside and being receptive to helpful advice is a virtue. You missed badly with that dart. But good luck with your real estate career. It wasn’t advice that led to this decision. The announcement came a week or two after grades were finalized for the summer session. Do you seriously think he was “advised” to forgo his scholarship for a year and give it back to Gage? Or did they set academic standards that he had failed to meet for two straight years and after failing to meet again during the summer sessions and still being academically ineligible, they decided for him that he would no longer be apart of the team? Send the down payment for that property whenever you get a chance.. it’s got a wonderful view. okay

True Tom but…………with all due respect isn’t Whiskers always involved in these situations? Yes, but I haven't seen him resort to name calling. As long as he doesn't go on political tirades or call people names he's welcomed to post his opinion about Aces basketball just as you or anyone else is allowed to. If you don't agree with him - you are absolutely allowed and welcomed to say so. Debate is good, personal attacks and name calling is not. We don't want to have to censor anything on here.

Debate may be good, but all this nonsense this past week is reminiscent of the past 2 off seasons. No reason to allow this crap to fester and build up like in previous years.

Censorship is a very slippery slope. I for one am not smart enough to determine what is important, and what is festering crap..and that opinion probably varies greatly among each of us. Some things get old quick, and others I find quite amusing. You can probably tell from my profile pics I like classic comedy movies. I enjoy some of the off-beat humorous stuff that gets posted here probably more than some of the others. Last year, the updates on the Eutenics comes to mind. Some thought it was too far off-topic, I found them funny. There have been a few that have crossed the line and were removed. I can tell you during McCartyGate constantly watching the board and trying to decide what was ok and wasn't was stressful. No desire to return to that. Regardless, Tom is correct that all is welcome as long as it doesn't get personal. Someone on here may actually be looking for a beach home around Omaha.
Everyone is obviously free to come and go as they please. I would prefer less account deletions and additions for the simple fact we do establish somewhat of an identity even though it is for the most part anonymous. I have met several posters over the years. If gopurple has been others, I am only going to say I really like his current name, MinglesburyHeathridge and hope it sticks.
On a somewhat related note, I have noticed Acecard hasn't posted since the summer. Acecard has been heavily involved in this board as well as the previous ones going back many years. I don't know them personally, but I sincerely hope they are doing ok. If anyone does know them, or if they have changed names, drop me a PM if you don't want to publicize anything.

I need to clarify my previous account deletions. At least once, i deleted it because I was done with the forum for the year. Season over. I thought deleting something that I put here but didn't really want to leave on there was a matter of deleting it. I deleted my account instead. Stupid of me to not know the rule. The other time I deleted it was because I thought things had gotten out of hand and rather than be tempted to continue, I just rubbed myself out -- after I realized how to do that. I have also changed my username once because it was about my cat, Al. Nobody really cares, but Al went across the Rainbow Bridge last summer and it broke my heart. I didn't need to reminded that the little fellow was gone. So I stopped being ATP and started being something else. I am not hiding from anyone. I can't speak for others. I will probably delete out when the summer comes -- I hope to continue some kind of robust conversation about UE BASEBALL, which is far more interesting than deciding whether Spinelli ought to pass off more.

While we’re coming clean, I’ve just gotta ask. Were you Jordyshornet that appeared briefly for last baseball season? Lol

Probably running multiple accounts at this point. Have you ever wondered what happened to evilleways, evilleintentions? Oh, you may not remember him because he left at the same time you entered. Never mind.

Disagreeing about opinions is one thing but the name-calling isn't necessary. Love all the basketball related opinions on here, especially if they differ from mine and cause me to look at something from a different angle. Many people on here have a better basketball IQ than me.
What I don't enjoy is the personal attack that some add at the end of post. It usually ruins what is a decent basketball opinion given by someone.
