ATP, even if Aces44 is the 5-minute walk-on as you put it he likely has more D1 knowledge on this board than most on here. If you re-read your posts to him (and others) it is not hard to see that you are making personal attacks - I’m not justifying anyone else’s actions as we can only control our own. Note: Going through a lot of yearly required training today for work including how to be respectful to others and de-escalate a situation. Maybe this type of training should be required for all on this forum. Let’s all try to briefly make our points in a respectful way as it will make this forum better and more enjoyable. Well said, Austin Ace. I found that there is a lot to learn from reading the Book of Proverbs. Of course a harsh word will stir up anger (paraphrasing Proverbs 15:1). In general, there is a lot of great input and interesting "on topic" viewpoints from so many on this forum. That's what I enjoy reading. What purpose does the personal bashing and belittlement do, other than frustrate those who want to read meaningful posts concerning the Aces? I agree with Austin Ace .. we all need to try and "briefly make our points in a respectful way" to improve what we are doing here. Thanks!

I am honestly still waiting for Aces44 to make one of those basketball comments. So far, we are into the 2nd week of it and I've seen nothing from him that advances the conversation about UE sports in general, in specific or ... just in any omnibus historically relevant sort of way. To be brutally fair, if it weren't for Twitter pictures, I'd learn nothing about the UE programs that I don't dig up on my own -- which really is not all that difficult. Seems, though, I've spent most of the spring doing just that for the baseball team -- and a couple of the posters here have had the gumption to check that out. Virtually all of my comments about the softball, basketball and ... administration have essentially been relevant, even if I do use some words that aren't in the grunt-and-groan vocabulary of modern sports. A "big" and a "PG who can dish" ... yep, I got that. So before you toss me under the bus, try to at least decide if you are angry at somebody or if you're just on that bus. If you want to make the rules, fine ... live by them. Nobody likes a damned hypocrite. Walk a mile in Aces44's shoes. If you know more than everyone else here, how easy would it be to simplify it so that it can be understood by ordinary fans? Michio Kaku can talk about string field theory in plain language all day long and I still won't understand it. I know that a basketball is round and the game is played on a rectangle but after that, like most of us, I get confused. Hopefully, he will eventually connect some dots. ? Can a big dish or does it have to be a PG? Does a SG have to shoot or can they rebound? Is it still an "and-1" if Toumi misses the 1? I'll wait.

Some very good stuff in this subscriber only article:
E.g.:The goal for Year 2 of the new era? ‘Growth’
He conceded that his hope for "growth" was the easy word to say. Siegfried also followed with some more concrete goals: Getting out of the bottom of the MVC, drawing bigger crowds, seeing results from player development, and building more campus engagement.

Guessing his case is going to be based on losing his freshman season at UE due to eligibility issues.

The story was great for people who don't follow the teams as much as people on this forum do.

Wonder how that will work now.

Wonder how that will work now. With the 20 game schedule, last year we kicked off the MVC with games on Nov. 30 and Dec. 3rd. You are somewhat correct though, in that our next MVC games were on Dec. 29 and Jan. 1st.
