According to Anthony Kristensen’s Twitter, UE has offered 2023 PF Sultan Adewale from Philadelphia. The coaches continue to make a splash!!

I’ve pretty well given up on him considering the scholarship situation was maxed out prior to Blaise’s departure. Would love to be shocked by his commitment, but I won’t hold my breath.

I don’t know the details but it sounds like he recently lost his mom (probably in the last week). My prayers and thoughts go out to him: www.gofundme.com/f/rip-titi-in-support-of-sultan-adewale…This fundraiser was created to help the late Titilope’s son Sultan Adewale with managing the aftermath of his mum’s passing. This tragic loss has deeply affected Sultan who is forced with the burden of arranging the funeral at such a young age of 18. Please consider donating to help Sultan with unexpected cost cleanup and to continue to live with his mothers dream of becoming a professional basketball player. Sultan Adewale is an aspiring basketball player with the potential to make it to the NBA…

It’s easy to be a Homer on this one but I believe our coaching staff see UE as a final destination and want Evansville to be their home. With that being said all their personalities are about caring for others. You can hear it in what they say and see it in their actions.
Such a tragedy for Sultan. As an adult who has lost both parents due to passing, I can’t even imagine how an 18-year old kid deals with this. What I do believe is that Sultan would be hard pressed to find any program in the country that could provide him with the compassion and guidance he will need to get through this time in his life. After spending most of my youth and post graduation living in Evansville, Sultan will not find a better community than the people he will meet and become friends with than the people in Evansville and the Aces fans.

I feel confident that if Sultan tells Coach Rags that he will commit to accepting a UE scholarship he will find a place for him on the team.

I feel confident that if Sultan tells Coach Rags that he will commit to accepting a UE scholarship he will find a place for him on the team. Absolutely. You don’t turn down a guy like this. He seems like the kinda guy that is a fringe P5 guy that could go be a role player for a P5, or be a GREAT player for a school like UE. Hopefully he elects to be a great mid major player, and hopefully he picks us to be that mid major. Was looking for updates on his recruitment after the good news and found this. Would love to know if UE has gotten on campus. There’s not much info on his visits online besides a few unofficial ones he took last year. He follows Marcus & Snow on twitter, so I think the interest is definitely mutual.

Moncrief is from Pennsylvania as well. Sultan currently playing at high school in Philadelphia and Chris is from Pittsburgh.
Sultan has the bulk and rebounding that we need and can step out and hit the three. Him and Michael Day would allow some of our other bigs to rotate down to their more natural positions.

Aside from what I have already posted Moncrief is a keeper. He has all the attributes of a small forward and he will be a scorer at UE. I agree that if we could get Sultan we would have a pretty good front court coming in when adding Michael Day. We still need another solid 5 player to complete the front line.
