I remember when a lot of posters were complaining about Blake's playing time in the beginning. Well looks like TL knew what he was doing based on Blake's playing time .

Blake could be getting 0 minutes at Wright State and that still wouldn’t change the fact that he was the better than Kuhlman and deserved more of his minutes the entire second half of the season last year.

I think following the progress of area players is useful if we continue to think that Dru Smith's career is interesting, and ... it is. Sisley and the others are part of a region of players that Stan Gouard has already identified as quite fertile. If he is right, and traditionally there is evidence to support that, then staying atop the best players is at least minimally educational for us. Whether we want to attach them to the UE recruiting program, another matter. But if Gouard is right, then others will soon notice. I don't know that retiring a thread is the same as defining an overall approach to visiting area players in their quest to succeed at the next level.

I think it deserves to be retired. He ain't comin'. 110% agree, please lock the thread. If we closed every thread where it seems unlikely the player will come to UE, we would have to close most of them. Should we also close the John Bol and Ty Price threads? This is an area player and he has actually come to Aces games - after Blake leaving. As Damus points out, you don't have to read it.

I know nothing about Trent Sisley other than that he is tall and gets a lot of attention. He may be good enough to be a big fish in a big pond full of big fish with even higher pedigrees. Or he may not. Statistics say that the chance of landing on an NBA roster from college is nearly 2000 to 1. A lot of those 2000 are excellent basketball players who were once another area's Trent Sisley or Kristian Lander. Hopefully, they took academics seriously and chose a major that will settle them into a career of their choosing. In just a few short years after they graduate, they will fall down the memory hole and the latest greatest phenom will be the talk of the town. The more prestigious the university, the deeper the memory hole. It's an equal opportunity hole. It swallows 3 stars, 4 stars or 5 stars with equal indifference.
For example, go back and look at IU's rosters over the past dozen years and you will shocked by how many Kristian Landers you forgot about. They all came in with a buzz and out with a forgotten fizzle. So, back to Trent. If I were him and if I didn't have a burning desire to put distance between me and my family, I would leap at the chance to wear purple. Mom and dad could attend all your home games and be a short drive from many road games. Remaining close is a terrific way to honor them. The MVC is a strong conference. Leading the Aces back to prominence will put a lid on the memory hole. You become a local legend. You receive a degree from a respected university. Career doors open wide. You can even leap from here to a foreign pro team and see a bit of the world. I don't see any downside to becoming a Purple Ace.

They were convinced by everyone around them that they were good enough to make the All Milky Way Team. Brights lights to dim finishes. I will continue to sell UE as a sound choice. Feel free to cheerlead for the marquee programs but please remember, they don't need your help.
