Isn't there zero chance he comes here? I don't think anyone from the current staff has talked to him. Please correct me if I'm wrong. No idea.

I wish the Sisley's nothing but the best, met Trent and his dad at a road game last year. Super nice people. But players getting Trents level of attention are a long shot to begin with and with Blake moving on I don't think I'd bother.

If I remember correctly Blake was highly recruited his Sophomore year by some Big 10 schools. Then his recruiting fell off his last 2 years.I believe this will happen with Trent also. Un bless he takes a Big 10 offer early I think he will end up a High mid major.

I don’t think he ever had any serious P5 interest at any point. Maybe some schools showing “interest” but never any offers. Trent’s had Matt Painter come and watch him practice as a freshman. They don’t just do that for anyone. He’s the real deal and has multiple Big Ten offers for a reason. He will definitely end up in a P6 program somewhere. His games already better than his brothers

A lot of power 5 schools will make a "impression:on a young kid if he plans out to be a great player.I dont think Trent has the speed to be a Power 5 player. But this is only my opinion and time will if I'm correct or wrong.

Given your longstanding Ace fandom and postings Muni, I humbly request that the mods delete your post for your own good. No need to have someone bring your post up after he puts up 25 to win the B10 tourney.

I saw him play against Memorial a few weeks ago and thought the Tornatta kid outplayed him as MHS trounced Heritage Hills by 20 pts. Trent got his 25 points, but missed most of his 3 pts shots. Hard to judge from one game, but feel he will have to work on his defensive skills the most. Offensively he can handle the ball, rebound, make free throws and has good footwork. Will have to see him again when he goes against guys his own size.

Lots of 6-9 or bigger guys get inordinate interest from the top conferences. They don't always need the kid but he makes a nice big guy to use in practice. That doesn't mean this kid won't mature into a D-1 superstar, but positionless players are not just a fad now. The best of them are not coming straight out of a consolidated high school. The way to evaluate this player is in the summer all-star leagues.

This is my last post on Trent, I wish him well and hope that he proves me wrong on my evaluation of his talent level. Peace out.

Guys, Don’t die on this hill
He’s REALLY good He’s 6’7” so they aren’t recruiting him to play practice post defense He can shoot it and put it on the deck; and has a high IQ
These are easily picked up by watching 10 min of you tube clips - The Best coaches in the B10 aren’t taking a flyer on him, he’s a lock - he only needs the weight room to play right away.
Also- the only stat that truly travels to the next level: is rebounding (don’t ask me why, it wouldn’t be my first guess as to the stat that ALWAYS transfers to the next level; but it is) He averages 11+ boards a game
I love our optimism in this board for having him on a recruiting thread but he won’t ever play in the Ford Center

After what Blake went through last year with Lickliter and the fiasco season, then transferring to Wright State, I don't think the Sisley's would have fond memories of their UE experience.
It is a shame that Blake decided not to stay with us, but I certainly don't blame him. I noticed he isn't getting a lot of minutes at Wright State this year, but that may change a lot for his next 2 years there. Blake is a solid player and is an excellent outside shooter. He was doing some really great things for the Aces at the end of last season. I think Trent will choose one of those P-5 offers. In my view, the chance we had with Trent left when Blake left.

We had about a 0.1% chance with Blake on the roster, and that went to 0 when he left. I also checked in on Blake after seeing this thread. He’s not playing much, and it looks there are freshman and sophomore bigs who are starting over him. I’m not sure what kind of playing time he was anticipating when he transferred, but it doesn’t look like he’ll ever get significantly more PT than he did his freshman year here. If he ever decides to enter the portal again, I would gladly take him back here

If he ever decides to enter the portal again, I would gladly take him back here Another thought on Blake.. I see he’s shooting 0% from 3 this season on only 5 attempts. He shot almost 40% for us last year and averaged 2 attempts per game (probably closer to 3 or 4 if you only include the games he got good minutes in). Haven’t watched Wright State play at all besides briefly in the Louisville game, but based on stats alone, it seems like he is not with a coach/system that is going to allow him to flourish to his full potential. Imo the best part of his game last year was his outside shooting and for whatever reason that has disappeared. It looks like Wright State doesn’t like their bigs taking 3s at all from their team stats. I hope if he can’t carve out more PT for himself that he is able to find a program somewhere that lets him flourish into the talented player we all thought he could be.
