Who's that 3B for Valpo? He's played about every IF Beacon position during his career..."utility" is a rare concept in college baseball (unless you're a coaches son).

stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=508404Poseyville's Harris w/ a 9-0 masterpiece today in GM #3. Where's he been hiding all year?
Sycamores struggled in a lethargically-played atmosphere v. Belmont, winning 6-4. SP Hayden was pulled early (4th), clearly showing fatigue from his illness 2 days ago (10 lb loss per announcers). He looked weak from the outset, struggling w/ control. Again, the Sycs bullpen bailed 'em out.
ISU has Finals this week so the Aces might catch 'em napping in Gm #! of the series!
Next Friday: 4:30 est in TH (ESPNU)

More Aces fans than Valpo fans at today's mashup. Harris was hitting his spots against a team that doesn't have much offense to start with.

Good win for the Aces today and great outing for Shane Harris. Incredibly tough two week stretch coming up, especially after Tuesday when we have a 3-game series at Indiana State (#10 in the RPI and #24 in the polls); then a game against Austin Peay in Clarksville; and then a 3-game series against UIC who is tied with us for second place and 9-1 in it’s last 10 games. All of our last three opponents have at least 30 wins. www.warrennolan.com/baseball/2024/schedule/EvansvilleLet’s win against USI on Tuesday first though.

For those who want the nut-graf status after week 12:
Evansville improved to 27-20 and 14-7 in the Missouri Valley Conference, as the Purple Aces earned their sixth-straight MVC series victory. Valparaiso, meanwhile, dropped to 14-31 and 6-15 in the MVC. Evansville will return home to Charles H. Braun Stadium on Tuesday to host Southern Indiana. First-pitch is set for 6 p.m. and tickets can be purchased by calling Logan Belz in the UE athletic ticket office by phone at 812-488-2623.

Belmont had a USI transfer SP from Castle who only lasted a couple innings last weekend. The Bruins 1B from Castle (Brodey Heaton) had a nice series, mixing a couple nice defensive plays w/ a 6/12 BA. Did UE offer him?
Btw, bad news for MVC opponents, as ISU seems to have found the DH they'v been searching for in CARLOS PENA, a transfer from MO who's been injured. Well built left-handed batter and comfortable @ the plate...
