There's a thin line of distinction between "competitive" and "winning." In college, it's all about the latter. As far as salary, any idea as to the amount of ISU's endowment? You'd think that with all of the engineers, physicians, attorneys & high powered business CEO's, they'd contribute to their alma mater. On second thought, ISU doesn't offer the first three (3) fields of study.
Did you realize that USI's endowment is larger ($103m) than ISU's ($76.5m)? Here are a few other Hoosier schools:
U. of Indpls - $107m Ball State - $212.9m UE - $189.5 (2013) IU - $852m RHIT - $185m
Btw, I see where RMK recently visited an ISU practice:
Butler is at $213m now they were lower than us couple years ago

Good example of what a winning program can do to alumni attitude$. Of course, it also helps to be located in the fastest growing area of Indiana AND $tate capital. The "squeaky wheel gets the oil." Has INDOT even completed I-69 yet?

And why in the hell don't they have rest stops between Bloomington and E'ville.

INDOT could solicit bids where vendor leasing could build/operate, providing food, drink and fuel. As you travel around the U.S. you see this, especially on the East Coast (NY/MA).

I saw the shot. Wow.
Also watched just a few minutes of the ISU-ISU game (early second half). Both teams looked terrible.

Domask is nails. Went up between two guys, got the ball and hit a 3 with 1.5 secs. remaining. Only guy I have seen who is as good is AJ Green of UNI.

He's a tell-tale of what the UE staff needs to be searching for during recruiting. From what I gather, he actually visited IN St. prior to signing w/ N. KY. He left NKU when their HC left, signing w/ Mullins who had recruited him as an Asst. @ Loyola prior to the move to Carbondale.
Here's the shot:

My granddaughter goes to John A Logan Jr College just 5 miles from Carbondale. She's' been sending me clips of another one that slipped under the radar. Google Jay Scrubb. We'll be seeing him play at Louisville in the near future. I'm planning on going to Mt Carmel next Saturday to watch him play Wabash. Like Ja Morant, They're out there, we just have to find them.

WMc actually took a long look at Scrugg. May have even offered...don’t remember, however the prospect wanted to play at UK, until Chris Mack convinced him that he’d get more PT at UL.

I am very concerned about our game down in Evansville. I also think Bradley and SIU are going to blow our doors off. At this point I think we will finish 3-4 or 2-5 and lose in the quarterfinals of the tournament. We are not a good road team, but I guess a lot of MVC schools are not good road teams this year.

Based on 12 games, it's Loyola vs. UNI and there's not a lot of separation after that. Loyola makes a nice NIT participant and can maybe win 3 games against mid-majors in that tournament. I think SIU can win a pay-to-play tournament. I don't know if anybody else can. Valpo is able to win 2 games in A.M. They probably won't, though.
