ISU knocked off an outmanned Bradley on Saturday in TH, 61-53. Bradley only had 7 players (6 + a walk-on) due to injury/illness, often seen w/ a 7'1" & 6'11" double low post out of necessity for #'s.

I was enjoying reading the MVC board this season but a UNI fan named patnb just signed up trashing 4 schools in like 5 posts and is destroying the website. Can they kick him off?

First Bubble Watch of the season posted on ESPN, UNI is nowhere to be found. Valley will be a one-bid league this season, even if UNI were to somehow run the table and then lose in the Valley championship game.

Ya, somewhere on TV I saw where the "prognosticators" had the Big Ten w/ 12 bids...if only we had what they're drinking!

Didn't know where to post this, but it was pretty funny to see what this Auburn fan brought to the UK/Auburn game ...

As bad as things have been for us this year, I would much rather be in our shoes than Illinois State's. Muller never has appeared to have much control over any of his teams, but talent could cover some of that up. He is now a veteran coach who appears to have lost the team. He won't get canned this year, so a rebuild in Normal is at least 2 years off. IMO, Lansing should be the closest contender to Mullins for COY. The INSU fans howl for him to be gone, but he gets peanuts from the university. I have no idea how those fans expect anyone better with the crap commitment they get.

I do believe Coach Lansing has been a vastly underrated coach. Given his resources he generally keeps his team competitive. I used to wonder how well he would have done in Evansville as a HC if had been here instead of our ex ex coach.

There's a thin line of distinction between "competitive" and "winning." In college, it's all about the latter. Lansing's past five (5) seasons have been sub .500. This trend began the year FOLLOWING the graduation of Jake Odum in '13-14. To refresh your memory, the "Odum Era" was not as spectacular as most think:
'10-11 (20-14/12-6 3rd MVC); def. UE on last second shot & ultimately won Arch Madness for NCAA berth. '11-12 (18-15/8-10 8th MVC). '12-13 (18-15/9-9 5th MVC). '13-14 (23-11/12-6 2nd MVC).
As far as salary, any idea as to the amount of ISU's endowment? You'd think that with all of the engineers, physicians, attorneys & high powered business CEO's, they'd contribute to their alma mater. On second thought, ISU doesn't offer the first three (3) fields of study.
Did you realize that USI's endowment is larger ($103m) than ISU's ($76.5m)? Here are a few other Hoosier schools:
U. of Indpls - $107m Ball State - $212.9m UE - $189.5 (2013) IU - $852m RHIT - $185m
Btw, I see where RMK recently visited an ISU practice. As some had mentioned on here, he doesn't look in very good shape:
