Apparently the cooties have gotten into the ISU program. While that is nothing new for them, tomorrows game in Terre Haute has been rescheduled for January 18th.

We need to get more interest and a following for the Lady Aces. They are playing some pretty good basketball and have a young team to build a future around. The coaching staff is getting the job done here.

Maybe if the fans start filling Meeks every time the ladies are at home, they will start to consider moving them over to Ford in the next few years. I'll admit, though, the accessibility on ESPN+ keeps me at home recently with this pandemic. I can already tell that the interest and following they have has increased, let's keep it up, they deserve it

I'll admit, though, the accessibility on ESPN+ keeps me at home recently with this pandemic. I can already tell that the interest and following they have has increased, let's keep it up, they deserve it Women's BB is a bit like soccer. It appeals to a select group of fans. I've been watching the women for a couple of seasons and have learned to like it on its own terms. That aside, I don't think this is the program that turns heads in UE fandom. Yeah, this team is better than it was and will be even better as the recruiting improves -- but a screaming horde of fans is not going to happen. The type of crowd that's at the women's games it is not a boisterous one. What generally is missing is the atmosphere created by a sound system. Sound systems create a fan experience that isn't actually happening but appears to be. Why not the Ford Center? Well, there is rent ... and the Meeks is already paid for and fully implemented. You recruit women for the education, not the stadium. That might be difficult to believe if you think women's ball and men's ball are basically the same. They aren't. Women don't envision a pro basketball career. But to the original point -- some of us have been following this team. The idea that if we stop watching the men and start watching the women, that the men's program will take notice and up its game. Yeah, whatever. My hunch is RSW and TL say hi to each other in the hallway but I doubt they are comparing notes. It's good solid entertainment with a lot of upside. If your life sucks, do something different. UE women's basketball is worth watching, just to see how a program is built. Anna Newman goes zero-to-60 in about 4 seconds!
