Another game postponed for the Women’s team. It was announced a short time ago that the game with UNI has been postponed. Maybe they should just end the season and let everyone go home and visit their families before the Spring Semester starts.

Looks like it was UNI this time. They also postponed their next one with Indiana State.

Maybe they should try to pickup another game so they don’t sit idle.

I think some other teams are doing that. Too much rust leads to bad outcomes. Especially for a team that depends on its outside game as much as the UE Women do.

Maybe they should scrimmage the mens team and show them how to run a faster offense.

Maybe they should scrimmage the mens team and show them how to run a faster offense. I know that you are joking but there is a huge difference between men and women teams - the men would kill them. The height at even 6’7 or more on the front line would be too much. Shamar would be going coast to coast for uncontested layoffs with his speed as Newman would hardly be past mid court. Jawaun’s defense would lead to repeated easy baskets. But yes, the Lady Aces are light years better this year and do play a much faster pace this year. The men could look at the concepts and see if they could carry over to the men’s game. But a men’s and women’s contest would be a “no contest”.

Playing at ranked Iowa Sunday. Good move. Not afraid of a big challenge. Go Aces!

So they’re playing two good teams back to back? Robin isn’t afraid of anything or maybe she’s confident that our Aces can compete.

Presuming that they were flying into Des Moines, Iowa and that they kept their previously scheduled flight. If so, both UNI and the University of Iowa are about a two-hour drive from the airport. So, their schedule should be identical, and they just make a couple of different turns to get to where they are playing.
Interested to see how this game plays out and if it will still be on ESPN+/

IOWA being the home team, I don't think they have a choice about it being on the B1G Network.

To play at UNI they would not have flown to DSM. They most likely would have flown to Waterloo (Cedar Falls), or if it was a lot cheaper possibly Cedar Rapids, (that airport is the Iowa City airport). I am excited to see them play the Hawkeyes (assuming it will be on BTN). Iowa has a good inside player who will cause problems but the bigger concern is Caitlin Clark, who is one of the top 3 or 4 players in the country. She gets a bunch of assists but has no conscience and will shoot and make 27 footers as well as drive to the basket, often to dish it off. I watched the Iowa State-Iowa game a couple of weeks ago. ISU was fortunate to win; Clark scored 25 points or so but it was an off game for her. Iowa shockingly lost its last game by one point to IUPUI. (IUPUI has a good team and for reference beat Butler 80-47). The Hawkeyes will not be happy campers and I imagine their coach Lisa Bluder (one time Drake coach) is making life miserable for them after that loss. It will be a great experience for the Aces - I sure hope Feit can play.
Edit: Didn’t realize they were playing Drake tomorrow, in that case flying to DSM makes sense. you were probably right Austin.
