UE's press is ruthless. Valley teams that don't handle the ball are going to really find themselves in trouble.

This team is fun to watch. The men's team can take an offensive system lesson from them.

Davis is on fire. She is a scorer for sure and brings good intensity as well on the defensive side of the ball

I love their fast break and the press. PFW is a really good team considering they won 1 game last year. Aces depth is going to really pay off. They may end up with a 9-1 non-con season.

Davis 13 out of 17 for 35 points in 23 minutes as a reserve. If she hits half that for the season, it's probably worth 3 or 4 wins.

Wow 35 points in 22 minutes for Davis. She can shoot and drive. Defensively, she has active hands.
Feit was relatively quiet with only 12, but they still put up 84 points.
I only caught the 2nd half, so judging this off of little game time but not too impressed with Partee.

I don't follow the Lady Aces as close as the men's team - which is probably true for most on this side. However, I have followed them a little bit this year.
To me, RSW has turned the program around similar to how Walter turned around the men's team (before all of the drama and the resulting crash that we are still in). That is, the program is not only rejuvenated by the coach and her connections and community involvement but she has also immediately brought in an influx of talent that was not seen here before. There is no reason to believe they can not continue on this path and have great success in turning around the program. They are well on there way.
This is especially true when you see a player like Davis today who transferred in and is coming off the bench. The only question would be: Do you continue to bring her off the bench with that type of play and if not who would she replace in the starting unit?

This just the second game for Davis ? With her, Feit as big scorers along with depth, intensity and coaching this team has a very high ceiling!

Actually, if you look at the team they have, the roster still has two or three women who have been in the program a while. They are just playing with a different type of intensity. The press is going to be a boss-ass asset for them as they get better at it. A couple of lapses in the 3rd quarter. They get the ball upcourt in less than 5 seconds almost every time. When the turnovers are reduced, the defenses are going to get ragged, commit fouls or layups. If you can turn a 30-second possession into a foot race, most teams just don't practice at that pace. RSW is going to be able to stretch the bench one more player. I don't think it's a matter of who starts. Not forcing the inside players to go 35 minutes is just a bonus. They are also making free throws and banging for 50-50 balls. That is contagious. I have no idea if they are a Valley contender but they are currently way better than a .500 team. I never gave much of a crap about women's BB but this team is fun.

It’s easy to get fired up about the Lady Aces. It does remain to be seen how they will stack up against the power teams in the Valley. If they can hold their own there the season will be very bright. Who they recruit during the next 2-3 years will be telling about this program.

Newcomer of the Week ⫸ Je'Naiya Davis, @ueathletics_WBB ▪️ Scored 35 points in just 22 minutes in a win over Purdue Fort Wayne ▪️ 35 points is a program record for points in a regulation game

Who they recruit during the next 2-3 years will be telling about this program. Davis, Clark, and Abby can all score in double figures probably on a consistent basis, and if all three can get hot in the same game, the Ladies are going to win some games maybe the experts thought they wouldn't. Hopefully that will happen more often than not.
