Certainly not the greatest issue we have right now, but per our previous discussion on Offensive Concepts; here is a short video discussing the main ways Coaches think about Offense. fbwat.ch/1aIj6M1kiqpqaJjx

This is good - thank you for putting this together. It builds on the discussion you had with Kareem Richardson in your last show. My personal opinion is the Crews/Knight is the best but it is also the most difficult to master. I think sets are ok but the problem is good teams are going to scout it out and take away your options (Simmons era).
You hit the nail on the head at the end if you don’t make shots any of them are going to look bad and not work. My biggest issue with what we are running is our lack of shooters and the lack of guys who can beat their man 1 v 1. But I’m certainly no expert.
Anyway, thanks again very much appreciated for you to put the time and effort into putting that together for us!

Great video Rex. Thanks for putting together. The evolution of the game has been fascinating for sure. As several have said, it really comes down to personnel. I’m just not sure we have the players to consistently be successful in a spread offense. We don’t have great finishers so the defense doesn’t have to help as much on the drive. And we don’t have great shooters so the defense Doesn’t have to “faceguard” the perimeter players and can sag. Personally, I would like to see more set plays ran out of timeouts or dead ball situations for a quick shot or post entry. Would be a good way to try and get an easy bucket and build some confidence.
Thanks again!

Thanks again! Agree. I've said before that the Aces appear to lack both shooters and athletes, which this offense seems to require. But it's not the players fault. The offense seems to use all perimeter players the same way as if these players have the same skill sets, which is not the case. If the offense was structured to, for example, isolate a shooter to take more 3pt shots then that player is placed in a position to succeed. Now, run that over, and over, and over in practice. That increases their confidence and they become even better. Looking at the current stats, one could conclude that this is a lost cause because the shooters can't shoot. But that doesn't tell the whole story because shooters are being asked to do other things. Conversely, drivers are being asked to shoot and you can see their hesitation in doing so (Riley, Givance and Newton). I really don't understand how the coaches don't see this.
