Golden was easier than I expected on us.

Golden's modeling the 60's "Tiny Tim" and his "Tip Toe Thru the Tulips," knowing that ISU/Lansing are still in "hot water" re: their 5-yr. sub-.500 seasonal slide. While this year's inside game w/Williams & LaRavia is the BEST he's ever had, they're still only 1st. yr. frosh, which means that Lansing's still open to a few "learning curves." His contract is up after NEXT season, and if he continues his losing ways this yr., there will be pressure for BUYOUT (regardless of the rhetoric you hear from his "inner circle"). With a newly renovated Hulman Center set to open next Fall for the 2021 season, most sound thinking Sycamore fans don't want the stench of Lansing & his 6 yr. losing streak nearby. It's all about a "fresh start"and new direction.

I do think we have improved this year. I agree that if we have another "February Collapse" he will be in hot water. I wouldn't be surprised if Lansing got bought out, but I also have my doubts. I just can't see us paying two coaches at the same time, unless some people fork up some money. Problem is he gets fairly good recruits that everyone gets excited about, but seems to fail at developing them.
