Beauchamp and Sisley are both 3 star recruits. Does anyone have any idea how many 3 star recruits we’ve signed since the rating services started? How many can you name?

I'm pretty sure Colt Ryan was the only 3 star recruit during the Marty era. DJ Balentine was a 2 star recruit. Three star recruits at UE have been a very rare commodity.

As Acefan mentioned I think Colt Ryan was a 3-star recruit. Jaylon Brown was a 3-star recruit and was recruited by Wichita State. I also believe our current freshman recruit, Trey Hall, was a 3-star recruit. Last year, DeAndre was a 3-star recruit and Sam was a 4-star recruit.

I actually thought he was a 3 star but forgot to list him! Yes, Jaylon Brown was a Rivals 3 star recruit.

However, 247ESPN, which is a cumulative rating service, did: 247sports.com/Player/Trey-Hall-46056995/

Going off memory - the only 3 stars I can remember Simmons getting were Jaylon Brown and Mislav. Colt was probably his best player but was only a 2 star. DJ was also a 2 star. It goes to show the star thing is kind of meaningless in the long run, but I would argue Mislav and JB were two of our most physically gifted players. All around athleticism, etc. DJ and Colt worked their rear ends off to get to where they ended up. Also the offense helped make them better.
It is encouraging though we got this many 3 stars. You can see the potential in the highlights. Coach is going to have talent to work with next season, it’s going to come down to their ability to work with it. If he can develop the younger guys like Hall, Matthews and get something out of the JUCO’ s this year, it will make them much better next year.

The great Silas Adheke came to UE as a 3 star from ESPN, who we all know transferred. He has done very little to distinguish himself, serving mostly as a reserve player with limited playing time. Obviously, I was upset when he left, but seeing how he panned out I don't think we missed out on anything.
The star system is interesting for fans like ourselves. But the bottom line is recruiting players who both fits in and buys into the system the coach is implementing.

Samari Curtis is listed on Verbal Commits as a composite 3 star recruit.
