With at least 5 spots being available, I thought we could discuss some of the potential recruits:
Blake Sissley, 6'8" Heritage Hills Curt Hopf, 6'7" Barr Reeve Owen Dease, 6'5" FJ Reitz Connor Hickman, 6'1" Bloomington South

So to answer this better we need to know what we will be losing:
6-4 Noah 6-8 Evan 6-8 Sam 6-9 Peace 6-7 Jax 6-2 Devan (walk-on)
Not to mention that I would speculate that 6-9 DeAndre would be a year to year evaluation.
With that background we definitely need some height and a shooting guard as the top two priorities based on what we are losing. So Blake Sisley is definitely a no brainer as a top target. Somebody mentioned bringing Noah Hupmann in as a walk-in this year and redshirting but have heard others say he is not D-1 material - so will defer to others on this...Not to familiar with the others that are available next year. Maybe someone can list a dozen or more “prospects” for us to “evaluate” and speculate on.

Sisley----definitely should be a high priority.
Dease-----what I'm hearing is that he needs consistency. He would help put extra butts in seats.
Hickman---don't know a lot about him other than we offered him. But if he is truly a tough, smart PG who can really shoot then he will help us.
Hopf------If the statements in the lawsuit against the ISHAA are completely accurate, Sports Mom should give every coach reason for pause.

Don't know much about the rest. Will need a shooting guard. Guards make the world go round in college basketball. Hickman looks like he would be a good PG.

We need a solid freshman point guard We need a freshman shooting guard with range We need a center with post moves. 6-8 to 6-10 if he can play his position We need a freshman wing forward similar to Hall
We have a good core following next year’s seniors so it’s important to build up from a freshman class. The fifth scholarship can double up on the above. Depending on how the underclass develops we may have to look for a different match or a transfer/JUCO.
The only player I’m really sold on is Blake Sisley at Herritage Hills. Jaden Rogers from Fern Creek KY is a good point guard who can score and has been offered and Connor Hickman at Bloomington South who was also offered. Connor played in the shadows of Anthony Leal an all-star who signed with Nebraska.
Beyond these players you might as well pick from the Top-50 or Top-100 even though none will end up here such as Bensley Joseph who we offered under WM but was recently offered by Rick Pitino at Iona.

I said this in the old forum. A hard pass on Dease even if he's a local kid. D2 talent at best in my unqualified evaluation.

I would say pass on Dease too. Give me Sisley and Haddon for our size.

First of all, congrats to the coaching staff for getting on Blake Sisley early, staying on him, and closing the deal.
Here are the latest (Aug2020) Rick Bolus scouting reports, by state.
For Indiana:

--Sisley is in good company. The only players ahead of him are guys that are committed or will be committing to P5's + Butler.
--Needs to be updated with regard to recent commits. Sisley, Luke Brown, Hatton, Payton Sparks, Connor Hickman, are all off the board.
--Interesting that Hickman didn't make his top 50.
For Kentucky:

For Ohio:

For Illinois:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1: Sisley verbal commit.
2A and 2B =
A good PG. Shamar and Page will be Seniors by the time this class arrives on campus. TGA was touted as a good ball handler and PG at 6-5, but we have seen very little of him in order to judge and verify.
Another big. We have two skilled guys with size that look like they can score from all three levels (Hall/Sisley). But they are a little on the slender side for now. We don't really have someone who matches up physically with a guy like Krutwig. We really could have used DC and his ornery streak last season. Good rebounding, post defense, absorb some fouls, and contribute a few buckets here and there would be enough. Doesn't need to be a game changer, just solid. A 6-7 big bodied enforcer would do fine.
4: A 2 or 3 slot wing player that is a good shooter and scorer. A player like Garrett or Heidbreder (or someone else that we don't know about).
5: Best available, or a guy with a lot of upside who could use a redshirt season, or bank it for next year.
