Jax's junior year stats at UN-Ashevill are brutal. However, he did hit a high percentage of three point shots his first two years at IU-Fort Wayne. I guess this guy will just buy some time for Coach Lick till the following season. Not that impressive.

A 6'7" lefty. His outside shooting form looked good. One and done hopefully will add a forward to the substitution pattern for the season and get some good minutes. I wonder what grad program UE offers that applied to his education?

He is listed as a shooting guard. If he can come in and provide some quality minutes and stability till we can get a younger guy with more eligibility then he has done his job. My concern is we still have a huge need for a big man. Currently for bigs we have DeAndre, Evan and Peace and they all could be gone next year. We really need a quality big that can play past this year. As for this year: DeAndre is definitely good but has had back issues and is not bulky. Evan improved but is really not a five. Peace has the bulk and size for a quality five; however, he needs a lot of “skill” work to provide any hope of quality minutes which he has not come close to showing yet. I do hope coach Lick and staff really work with him when they can....But as you can see this recruit does not address our biggest need but that does not mean that he is a bad pickup for a one year rental but he does add another player into our huge senior class. So we will definitely have a lot of needs and scholarships to fill next year. But Jax should hopefully be in the rotation this year or it will be a wasted scholarship. Again I like his versatility. So time will tell as always.

What I do believe, though, with this signing is that unless TL can land a major impact guy, he has to get a legit big guy..maybe he will have to go the juco route. But as you said, Kuhlman, Peace, or Deandre are not the guys we want in the middle. Hope we hear something soon.
