Shooting/effort was absolutely abysmal.

Thanks a lot McCarty - lack of coaching was very evident tonight. No adjustments at all!! Sorry, but Walt was not the King of Adjustments. Again, new coach said nothing would change and he proved himself correct

Huge disappointment , they just gave up the second half. Going to be hard to continue to support a team that doesn’t give much effort to win. Marty’s teams didn’t have much talent and were very easy to defend but they at least played hard and appeared to care and played as a team. I will be there Saturday and hope for a better effort but if not won’t be back. They need to get their stuff together soon.

With our poor shooting, why not give Marcus Henderson a few minutes?

Disastrous 2nd half. The first 4 minutes of the 2nd half really hurt. Sorry, but I think some bad calls by the refs certainly helped make the snowball go down hill. BAD call against Art on the flop. Sam got hacked quite a bit. But, we quit doing what we were doing in the 1st half on defense and the offense left the building at halftime.
Sure makes the Valpo game this Saturday crucial for us.

I was proven correct, not in small part due to terrible officiating on three consecutive possessions. That's not an excuse though, as the calls ended up evening out. We couldn't shoot the ball, which is why we ultimately ended up losing. We only committed 8 turnovers though, so I'll take a little solace knowing we took care of the ball even when everything else went to hell.

I’m not going to give up on this team considering the talent on the roster, but that was not a good start to any hope that we had left. Hall started to show signs of greatness the last few games, but he had a really really bad performance. 1 rebound and 0-6 shooting in 34 min of play. Why can’t Ilegomah play when he’s not performing? Same goes for Marcus Henderson when one of Sam/Art/KJ are not performing! We need someone who can make shots (if that wasn’t we identified from today’s game).

Thanks a lot McCarty - lack of coaching was very evident tonight. No adjustments at all!! This looked pretty standard for the season. An entire half with very little effort on both ends of the floor.

Again, new coach said nothing would change and he proved himself correct If Coach Seltzer wants to lose the "Interim" label and become the Aces HC (if Walter is truly done) then he will need to make the necessary adjustments in time. This is just one game after a major shakeup within the program. Let's not forget Seltzer is still dealing with the recent loss of his mother. Once things settle down a bit Coach Seltzer will put his stamp on the program. As upset I am with the team's second half performance tonight I'll wait until the game Saturday (home game against a winnable opponent) to see how much we need to worrry about this team. One conference game down, 17 to go.

I know how they should handle their pi$$ poor shooting. Our coach would have us shoot shots (we didn't have 3 pt then of course) but you shot 25 3's and run a lap or maybe 2 for everyone you missed. Same with free throws. The one or only good thing today was UNI lost.

But surely to goodness during the timeouts he was forced to take in the 2nd half...he could say "Guys, forget the 3 point line. Let's run our plays and get the ball to the rim". I am absolutely hoping you are right that in the next few games we see a bit of change in our offensive philosophy.

First time poster Well not sure what happened in the second half but I was most disappointed with the lackluster emotion or lack of emotion. Give Missouri State credit but we just had no fight in us and rolled over. True we played selfishly in the second half and didn't drive enough, etc and we need to work on those things and improve next game; but the lack of fight/effort in the second half was inexcusable for me. Jawuan Newton probably could have helped in that area.
