Not enough offense with Ben and Yacine out. Outrebounded 40–24. Gave up 10 offensive rebounds…. Good season though all in all. Hughes is not a rebounder. Not having Toumi really hurt

Chuck lost his cool and almost got into it with a Seattle player in the handshake line. Wow.
He had to be corralled by his teammates and pulled away. Seattle player was still jawing too.

I like Chuck’s passion and intensity but he has to be able to control and channel it and learn good sportsmanship.

5 wins to 17 in one season- that is progress. More work to do though.

This was not an NCAA team or even an NIT team. If they go at full strength, it's a team that wins the CBI. Aim higher next year? Overall, yeah. The problem is easy to identify -- be better in the Valley.

Our offensive scheme still makes me nervous for next year. Too much ISO ball...dribble, dribble, dribble till 5 seconds on the clock... and guys standing around for most of the 2nd half. Finally played with some tempo late in the half, but it was a bit late.

They started hitting 3's, that didn't allow us to play swarming defense. We took way too many 3's overall but specifically in the 2nd half. The shooting % was not good. I'm encouraged for next season. Hopefully the guys coming in will be big contributors and we can keep some key pieces.

This tournament was also called quite inconsistently. Lots of rough play, then they called things much less physical.

USI women are dominating Wisconsin in first half. Packed house at Screamin' Arena. 30-12 in the 2nd period. Badgers cutting into the lead, USI 55-47 with 9 minutes left in the game.
USI starters by hometown -- Haubstadt, IN Bedford, IN Depauw, IN Bloomington, IN Linton, IN
Girls simply looking for a decent education and a place where their family can come see them play.
Ali Saunders played at Valpo last year.

It turned ugly. Complete collapse.

Tough way to lose what seemed like a very winnable game prior to the 18-2 run. Hate that it had to end like that for the seniors, but I’m glad they showed fight until the end and gave us something to cheer for on the comeback.
Time for the coaches to get serious in the portal and the players to put in some serious work this offseason. Bring back everyone and a good offseason for Chuck, Cam, Tanner, and Hughes and we could compete for the MVC title next year. 1-2 dynamic guards in the portal would help a ton too.
Gonna be an opening at the top of the MVC, and I see no reason we can’t compete for a title next year. Hopefully this offseason is kind to us 🤞🏻

Hard to tell which Seattle player it was but by the way Kenny was looking back in the line as well (and Kenny was in front of Chuck), my guess would be the Seattle guy must have said something. My guess would be it was either 23 (Reiley), 0 (Schumacher) and/or 5 (Tyson) as they all at some point were either "jawing" or "taunting" in a celebratory way. But really hard to tell 100%. Maybe one of the Aces fans that were there saw something as the fans were close to the action.

If our guys were tired, then I have to question what is being done for conditioning. Over 2 weeks between our loss to Drake and the start of the CBI -- back to back games should not tire them out.
For next year, I am a bit worried about our athleticism and quickness.

Ramondo battle looks incredibly athletic. Hopefully we keep Chuck. Need to get a dynamic point guard and hopefully add an athletic big. I think we’ll be fine, but i see your concerns. There are definitely some guys that would be better off being elite bench guys than starters if we want to aspire for MVC championships. I trust the staff to bring in additional talent needed.
