I’m looking at this kid run the floor, shoot and pass and trying to figure out why he hasn’t done better at Vandy other than he was just a Freshman. And maybe that’s it, he just needs to mature and adapt to the college game. Vandy does play in a tough conference.
Then I look at UE and the type of players who usually do well here and I see this kid but he has the height and athletic ability that’s a step or two above what we usually get. He’s not undersized, can’t jump or lacks athletic ability.
How does he stack up in the Valley? I think with development he can be very good. He’s not a 250 lb bruiser, but some of the best Valley players present and past look like him on the court. Croatia has a long history of tall, lanky players being very good collegiate players in the US. Another plus is he prepped at Montverde one of the best programs in the country. Not everyone from there succeeds but I really like what I see in this kid.
Final question? Would he be interested in UE? I think we should be very interested in him. Add him to Hall on the wings and we are starting to look very good. The transfer market is a great way to quickly rebuild our program. We still must find that solid #5 to become a success.

Thanks for sharing Castle69. Nice to be thinking about hoops again, at least for a while. There is a lot of footage on him to see. His offers out of the Academy listed only two - Vanderbilt and Sienna (verbal commits). These are the type of players mid-majors get - guys who have some size who may be able to develop in time. My immediate thoughts from the video is that he can handle the ball, and can run the court. However, he looks frail and could easily get pushed around, and his release on his shot appears slow and from a low angle. I can't really comment any more than that. If kids like this have a great work ethic, desire to get better, and coachable, I would be more likely to give them the opportunity to play for the Aces. By the same token, I might be more likely to go with an undersized center with great footwork, has some quickness and has a shot.

Isn’t Montverde the same prep school that produced Peace Alegomah? If so, and this kid only had 2 offers out of there, then pass.

SB Nation has a story saying that this year's Montverde team may be the best high school team ever. While there is likely no way to prove that, it goes without saying that they have a great team. An individual player is not going to have elite stats playing with so much other talent. Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, RJ Barrett, and DeAngelo Russell are some of their recent graduates. It would be foolish to eliminate a player just because a previous recruit from there didn't work out.

I posted the bio on the Croatia kid, recalling the '15-16 season memory, where the Aces had a couple boyz from that area of E. Europe who might be good "references"...
Some of you aren't sold on the 6'11" Croatian from Vandy, but what about his 6'8" 220 lb. teammate from Columbus, OH...just a few mi. from Xenia, OH where Samari Curtis is from?

Only 2 offers for a 6’10” kid coming out of a powerhouse like Montverde Academy should be a yellow/red flag.

Moyer yes if UE offers a master’s degree in his area of interest. He’d be a 1 year grad transfer who could help in the short term.

I misunderstood and thought maybe you weren't interested just because Peace didn't work out, or hasn't worked out for us.

The point is that players are out there. We need a recruiter capable of snagging a capable big and another shooter/slasher.

I watch a lot of Vandy basketball and if we landed Moyer that would be huge. I didn't understand why he didn't play as much this year other than he was battling injuries. He'd be a great piece on next year's team if we could talk him into one of our grad programs.

Coming out of HS Moyer was definitely one of the top recruits in the Nation. The number and quality of offers looks like the lineup of NCAA D-1 tournament. He obviously didn’t excel in college but that could have been the mix of players at Syracuse or as mentioned injuries at Vandy. However, if a swap for John Hall’s position if he moves on is a bad decision I need proof as to why. There have been McDonald’s AAs at places like Duke and UNC that were glorified cheerleaders who could maybe have been stars at UE. The Aces need to take chances to obtain a winner. Peace isn’t going to work so you cut your losses and move on but you don’t stop trying again.
