Also I forgot Chicago State was in the East Coast Conference before they joined the Mid-Continent aka Summit League. I do not think the Horizon League was interested in Chicago State as long as Valparaiso and Illinois-Chicago was in the Horizon League. But since Valparaiso and Illinois-Chicago are in the MVC the Horizon League may relook at Chicago State. The one thing that may hurt Chicago State is that Chicago State does not have a baseball team and the Horizon League needs baseball teams. I heard that Chicago was looking at joining the OVC as few years ago. Hell, every sport they had was bankrupt at one time. I figured they'd drop sports, but they didn't. They'd be better off in D-2, but there's no D-2 that matters up that way. I know they dropped baseball several years ago but added men's soccer around 3 years ago. I kid you not Chicago State is looking at adding football.

Valpo, Drake, Butler, Morehead, they are all OK with that. Are we off topic? Shame on us!

More than likely the guys who's setting the pointspread has heard that Ben's not with the team any longer.

More than likely the guys who's setting the pointspread has heard that Ben's not with the team any longer. I don’t think they have. That line seems to be in line with all of the advanced metric lines which aren’t factoring in Ben’s absence. I hate to say it, but if you gamble, I’d hop on Quinnipiac -2.5. It would probably be -5.5 to -7.5 if they knew Ben wasn’t playing.

This team is going to be hard to beat with or without Ben.

This team is going to be hard to beat with or without Ben. I’m curious why you say that? This team was beaten more times than not this season. What changed?

UE will need to find about 16 points and 4 assists from someplace else if B-Hum isn't playing. In the games they lost without him, nobody did that. It's quite simple. But I'd wager that since the team knows who they have, they will be practicing to adapt. Execution is another matter. This isn't the toughest game they played this year.

…This isn't the toughest game they played this year. So I guess we will lose by less than 49 points (or win). 😀

I like the Aces to win with or without Ben for the fact that the Aces went 10-2 against non MVC defenses with new transfers and freshmen. These players are now seasoned after 22 MVC games. They've been beaten, grabbed, and pushed by defensive beasts during those 22 games. I don't expect the defensive intensity from Q to be MVC level thus I expect the UE offense to run smoother. Q runs their guards a lot down the lane for layups. If our big stay out of foul trouble and guard the rim UE could render this offensive tactic ineffective.

So I guess we will lose by less than 49 points (or win). 😀 Of all the homerism I have for the Aces, I don't see a 49-point spread as remotely possible. (inserting my own grinner emoji here). Seriously, up and down the teams over a whole season, the Valley is a much superior product. Whoever shows up and executes the game plan will win. Referees will matter. If they let 'em play, then the Aces have a better shot at it. I don't think the Aces have enough bench now to win more than one-and-a-half games. Sekou Kalle needs to be a player this weekend. I fully expect CBIII to have some lights-out games in this thing. Players like him live for tournaments. Toumi might also be really solid.
