He is definitely a scorer. In high school he averaged 31.5 ppg. His freshman year he was at D1 Utah Tech and played in 17 games (with no starts) playing about six minutes a game. He has a small frame but does have game. Ranger College is about 100 miles west of Fort Worth, Texas. Here is his bio page at Ranger College. His high school is in Tacoma, Washington. A good four-minute video of his game here. He is super quick with good handles, but his release is a little slow. Changes direction very well. Can get to the rim and shot the three. Has good range on the three and can take his defender off the dribble and get to the rim. Athletic and looks like instant offense. Scores at all three levels as he does have a mid-range game as well. The video highlights his offensive game but his assist numbers are high enough that he must be creating opportunities for his teammates as well. Here is the "bio" on him when he was signed at Utah Tech: www.thespectrum.com/story/sports/2022/05/05/dixie-state-recruiting-tracker-trailblazers-add-idaho-transfer-tanner-christensen/9651140002/

I believe Rags is recruiting players who can fit into his system not to just fill a spot on the roster.

Note: Utah Tech (where Asjon played his freshman year at) is where Trey Hall is at now. Trey’s is averaging 0.6 ppg and 0.7 rpg in 4.3 mpg. He’s played in 16 games with 0 starts.
Asjon’s stats at Utah Tech were similar to Trey’s but Ashton did score 2.1 ppg in about six minutes of action as a true freshman.
