I honestly don't have strong feelings one way or the other about BH's perceived lack of loyalty or the way he approached his announcement. The people in his life who matter are up to speed on it. The public won't forgive him even though they should be able to understand why he did what he did. If the education he is getting needs to be completed elsewhere, I'd like to know that ... but it's not his job to tell me.
He was also not there when the Aces needed him in Florida.
I'd recommend a more balanced approach to this. Every team has this and every fan base is wondering what's next -- are they going to be a 5-27 team next year? A whole bunch of fans and scribes need to walk a mile in our shoes. It's what we have become. We will find somebody to replace Humrichous the same way we replaced Samari Curtis, Sam Cunliffe, DeAndre Williams, and the dozen others who came and went. I can't even remember the names of most of the ones Lickliter coached.

What the hell is wrong with the last two posts and posters! BenH came to Evansville hoping to contribute to a transitioning team and far exceeded our expectations. Wish him well and shut the f***k up. Someone is TRIGGERED!!!! Lay off the bourbon and stick to 420. It’ll mellow you out a bit and help you not get so butt hurt with things you don’t agree with.

I want players who want to be here. There are a ton of kids out there just as talented. Go get em Coach.

I don’t have a problem with Ben or his decision. He played hard, carried himself well, and helped us win. You can piss in the wind if you want… I am thankful Rags brought him in for this year. Hope we find another. Truthfully, I hope it happens again next year — the lack of talent alternative is not better.

Is it possible that Ben has run out of educational opportunities at UE? He will receive his masters degree, what other masters degree do we offer that he would want to stay for?

He’s so beyond grateful that he’s entering the portal 😂😅. Sorry but these statements by these young college players are ridiculous and hilarious. I liked watching Ben, but he is not an NBA talent. Lifelong G League or overseas career at best. Totally agree with you. He will end up at West Virginia or St.Louis where 2 former MVC coaches are at and one will soon be.

College basketball has changed and isn’t going to be the way it used to be. Why would young men be loyal to an institution who doesn’t even guarantee scholarships for more than one year at a time and play for coaches that will take off in a heartbeat when they get their multi million dollar opportunity?

Should've known the Lord told him to hit the portal. God made me do it! I was wondering what God has against us. It's probably because we dropped the religion department.

Sure, it stinks when we get a good player/great represenatitive of UE and lose them a year later. They are going to do what is best for them, regardless. The window is short. On the loyalty question, the NCAA has made it easy not to be loyal. Loyalty is sure not what it used to be and I am afraid it is word not being taught much these days.

No offense to Ben, but if you watched the games tonight, how on earth does he think he is better than Hall from Clemson, and Nelson from Bama. He can’t guard either and they all shoot it well.
Whoever is telling him he will play in the Assoc is smoking something I wisj him luck, but …. Wooo boy, different stratospheres
