We got beat by a very good team - wish that an upset would have been earned by us, but it was not to be.
Thank you to the Aces who wore the purple and did what they could to rebuild the team.
Our future depends on who stays and who we can bring into the program, same as most years, just so vital for a team who had hit rock bottom.
I hope that Ben, Cuff, Toumi (just now hitting his stride), and Bailey all stay and that we can bring in some great offense and a strong center - that's a lot of hoping and I guess we'll just have to wait and see. We just can't have a big set-back and lose our momentum. Hope there are some young guns out there who see the opportunity to help revive the Purple Aces great history!
Concerning Bailey, I see nothing but a young super star who will emerge this next year - hope it is for UE and not someone else. I've seen too many young players not appreciated or utilized because they were considered out-of--control or wild - just didn't fit our style (which was usually slow and structured). I say keep them, develop them, and let them bring energy and excitement to our team!

Chuck hurt the team more than he helped on multiple occasions this year. A lot of it was not because he’s a freshman but because that’s the kind of player he is. Anybody that’s played at any sort of level above grade school knows and have played with guys like that. They don’t change. He has tons of potential but he’d have to completely change the way he plays if he wants to reach it

I’m not gonna lose sleep over Chuck leaving. He’s been awful [br One of the dumbest comments I have seen on here. He has some work to do as any Freshman does but his upside is through the roof. I watch every game on ESPN+ and the announcers have been consistent that Chuck is one of the best freshmen in the Valley. He has a midrange game that may dominate the Valley with continued development. The last thing I want to see is Chuck starting for another team and dominating their league.

I can see who stopped playing in 5th grade and looks at everything through rose colored glasses. Why do you think all the high major programs that were on him backed off? Should tell you something

No it's not. I'm not getting into a pissing match with you. I would hate to see Chuck go and I will leave it at that.

Were teams like Illinois Kansas and ole miss still on him at the time of his commitment? You should be able to answer that yourself. I never said I want him to leave I just said I’m not losing sleep when he does leave (he’s leaving). There’ll be guys in the portal that can fill his role without the major ups and downs

The number of shots that completely miss the rim is telling -- I wonder if they are having trouble with the background on some shots.

Chuck Bailey III, I see a kid whose skill, talent, and speed gets ahead of his basketball maturity. As you grow you learn maturity. You can't learn raw talent. I also see a kid that in 5-6 years could be rolling in Ja Marant type cash in the NBA. The rule of life is if you don't know what you're talking about keep quiet. For the guy that encouraged Chuck to transfer, please catch the same bus as the Bobe haters.

Re: Bailey. It's possible he's not a good fit for this team in the long run, but there is no doubting his talent. He has moves the refs have never seen in the Valley. I hope he comes back and becomes the leader that he has the talent to be. He could lead the country in assists and points.

UIC is playing on sheer energy now. They are going to hit the wall eventually, but this is fun to watch.
