I asked that on another thread and was told yes. Now if the NCAA wants to give all athletics 2 years of transfer eligibility we would probablylose him.Just my opinion.

There’s a temporary pause on multi time transfer penalties and they’re likely to go away for good this offseason when the NCAA loses their legal case. If he wants to leave, he’ll be free to leave at seasons end. Hopefully we are preparing to do everything to retain him.

I've not really kept up with the lawsuits against the NCAA and the resulting rule changes, but where does it end? Will players be able to shop around for 'NIL' deals early in the season when they start building a nice resume, and then change schools at the semester break or for that matter, at any time? Kind of like a trade deadline in pro sports.

Kind of like a trade deadline in pro sports. I’d be surprised to see mid semester transfers because I think they’ll hold onto the academics farce as long as they can, but the mid season semesters end transfers could definitely happen. I think that’s legal already in some circumstances but is incredibly unusual. The lawsuit I mentioned could have even crazier repercussions though. It’s an antitrust lawsuit that basically says the NCAA should not have any authority to limit a players eligibility and I’ve seen some people on Twitter speculating that it’s eventually going to lead to a total end of the standard 4 years of eligibility. As long as you’re enrolled in college classes you’d be eligible to play and we could be seeing 7-8 year guys getting multiple masters and taking fake PHD courses to extend their careers. That seems a little extreme to me but anything is possible. The NCAA could’ve avoided this mess if they’d have just gradually made some progressive changes years ago, but now things have gotten out of hand very quickly with no strong central leadership to guide the future of the sport.

I hope they all stay I believe they will. I like Bailey he has a lot of talent. Bailey may want more than this program. I expect some players to leave and some to stay but I think things will get better. I am curious to see how they play Saturday in Valpo with Ben back

The game now more than ever is recruiting. If you have a loaded roster with guys coming back, you'd better be prepared to replace them. So far, Ragland and staff look like they can not only recruit but also find players that are off-radar. As much as I hate the carousel college basketball is becoming, those two facts give me hope for the program.

We all agree that it is good to have Ben back. Do we know 100% what the injury was? It was usually referred to as a "foot injury". However, I saw something a week or two back that implied it was an ankle injury. Just curious. At this point, it doesn't really matter as long as he stays healthy.

Both games that he has played since his injury he has had a wrap around his lower calf/shin. Mystery expands.

I'm pretty sure that he had that wrap on his calf/shin area in the game or games before he went on the injury list. I agree that it could be a clue but as you said/implied the mystery continues on what exactly the injury was.

I don't see BHum leaving. It seems like he gets along with everybody. He seems like a high character kid that is here for the right reasons and wants to bring Evansville back to competing at a high level….. but money talks. If he’s really offered $150k, I can’t blame him for taking a potentially once in a lifetime payday. Hopefully we can retain him and no one is tampering and offering that kind of money to get him in the portal.

Apparently, it’s allowable for 1000 fans to donate $150 each and we’ll buy ourselves a Humrichous.

Work a deal with the pay to park lots. 1/2 of $20 parking fee goes to a/the player(s) NIL fund. I'm betting bandwagoners attending UE games wouldn't be so hesitant to drop an Andy Jax, if half went to Ben, Chuck, or Tanner.
