Hope they can can surprise us and win one in front of 1000s of kids. It will be the best atmosphere for us all year. I won't be there, but hopefully some of the PAP faithful can make it out for this one.

I'm hoping the change of venue for a home game might help the outcome. I noticed last game that I watched that Thomas was out of her boot. I don't even know if she played the last game.

Thomas played, scored 10. Looking at box scores this is her first game back, I believe. It's got to help.

The even sadder part is 99% of that crowd has never been to a Lady Aces game, and probably 90% haven't been to either mens or womens. Their first and probably only exposure to the program is to watch them get dismantled like this. I am pretty sure Belmont was picked 1st pre-season. I don't think anyone thought we would be this bad, but seems like they could of picked a more favorable opponent to introduce these kids to the program. At this point, I have no idea who that would have been. Maybe a non-con against Oakland City.

Defense struggles. So the last home game for both men and women have been brutal. UE women did beat Oakland City in their exhibition, barely. They have 2 wins, could easily be winless. I am hoping that Thomas can get back in the groove after returning from injury and stay healthy. May not be enough to make a significant diffrerence.

I don’t follow the women closely but a quick look at the conference standings clearly show that Murray State and Missouri State, Belmont and Drake are clearly head and shoulders better than the other conference teams. Unfortunately we play the two MSU teams next. So this likely will be a brutal stretch based on recent games. Valpo appears to be as bad or worse than us. So that is likely our best chance for a W going forward. Luckily we have two remaining games left with them. Teams like Bradley, Indiana State and Southern Illinois are respectively slightly better - so hope that we can play them reasonably close and possibly pull out a surprise W. mvc-sports.com/Surprisingly we played Drake to ten points on the road. Drake in their other MVC games have won by 19, 29 and 30 points. On the flip side we lost by 17 at home to Indiana State and by 30 at UNI. (UNI does seem to be playing better though despite their record with their recent additions.) So it seems like we have been a little inconsistent. Again don’t watch them enough but possibly some of this is due to recent injuries, not sure.
