Bad coaching tonight.

Tail of the tape in the 74-64 loss: - 34% FG shooting for us results in five more made FGs for MSU;
- Five more made threes for us (12 total: 7 for Josh);
- Five more FTs for MSU;
- 16-7 points off turnovers advantage to MSU;
- Outrebounded 42-36;
- Points in the paint 36-14 in MSU's favor;
- 14-8 Fast break point advantage for MSU;
On an individual note: - 22 points for Josh on 7-10 from three;
- Yacine with eight points and 12 rebounds and three assists;
- Kenny with nine points and 10 rebounds and two assists;
- Antonio with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists and zero turnovers.
Good breakdown. Points in the paint killed us. Either we were getting bullied down low or a lob over top for the dunk.

We weren’t nearly physically tough enough tonight. Missed bunnies, and 50/50 balls were maddening
I have a whole dissertation on this but, whatever.

Bobe played as many minutes as Cuff, Bailey, Haffner, and Jackson combined. Unbelievable!!

Probably didn't make a difference, but that called foul on Strawbridge (while on the floor) with 5 minutes left was horrible.

Terrible coaching tonight! 🤦♂️😡 How in the world can Ragland be serious about winning when he plays Bobe 30 minutes??? 🤦♂️🤷♂️ The Aces needed some offense on the floor and Chuck, Tanner and Cam are all sitting on the bench!! So Ragland plays Hughes, Toumi, Strawbridge, Thomas and Bobe for almost the whole 2nd half??? I don't understand or agree why you would play those 5...Doesn't He Want To Win The Game??? Why is Haffner in the doghouse? He didn't play any worse than anyone else did at Bradley! Where is Jackson and why isn't he given a chance to play? Terrible Coaching lost this game!!

Bobe played as many minutes as Cuff, Bailey, Haffner, and Jackson combined. Unbelievable!! I guess we are going to be starting from scratch again next year because why anyone would stay after playing on the bench in this scenario is beyond me. I don't care about "he hustles". This is just ridiculous.

Cuff was in foul trouble, Bailey built an house for the homeless with all his bricks, Haffner couldn’t guard his shadow or hit the broad side of a barn. That maybe some of why they didn’t play as much, just what I observed.

This is just ridiculous. I agree 100% Why would Bailey, Cuff, Haffner or Jackson want to come back? I think the Aces will lose at least 2 out of these 4 players. It's totally embarrassing and frustrating to see Bobe play in front of those 4.

This is just ridiculous. If a kid is going to leave because he sat the bench tonight. If he plays like he did tonight, he will be sitting the bench at the new school. I’m all for a kid wanting to get as much as they can during their short career. But threatening to leave because you’re sitting the bench when you’re having a bad night….good riddance.

I’ll update that thought. With one exception. The 6’10 kid who can shoot the lights out who is finally out the boot and we can’t win without. He’s the only one on this team who can make that threat.

Bailey only attempted 5 shots tonight. Unfortunately, he missed all of them, but that's hardly enough "bricks" to build much. He at least drives to the basket and isn't afraid of contact. Haffner has been to the free throw line exactly one time all season. One foul shot for a guard starting every game before tonight. Bailey has been to the line 56 times, and is the Aces' best free throw shooter at just over 82 %. Since this is not a good outside shooting team, more drives to the hoop like Bailey should be encouraged and not discouraged. That strategy will inevitably lead to a few more turnovers, but should also result in more FTs, not to mention, more fouls on the opposition. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

Wow, I thought he attempted at least 8, he did get 2 of those shots recycled like me trying to go inside at the YMCA.

This board is blandly quiet tonight, just like our team...not much enthusiasm, luck, or fight left in us. I disagree with Coach Ragland's post-game claims that "we are getting better, making progress" - seems to me that we're going backwards, and not just because we have lost Ben. Just doesn't seem like we have confidence any more or that we believe in our own abilities. Things just don't "feel"right. Don't know if it's the choice of players and play time or obvious lack of offensive plays...but I suspect it is a problem that our coach must solve in order to turn things around. I notice that we are dangerously close to being the same ole bottom - of- the- MVC team that we are known to be. 'Just wait- these things take time" - So tired of hearing that! I don't know the answer any more, but I do know that we sure do need one!
I have been a loyal fan for decades, but I am so disappointed by this reversion of hope for this year. Hopefully, these young basketball team members can take it upon their strong shoulders to re-energize their mindset and their skill to climb out of this bland, boring hole we find ourselves in.
