Sorry to hear that. He is a sophomore LHP that only played in two games last year according to his UE bio. His bio says that he went to Evansville high school in Evansville, Wisconsin and was rated the #5 LHP in Wisconsin by one rating service. Not sure if there can be a good outcome from this but hope there is a quick, just and fair resolution for all involved.

Lock him up.
UE definitely needs to be strong on this issue.
After the McCarty incident, we need to ensure females are safe at this small private university.
Thank goodness UE public safety jumped right on this and worked with EPD.

Thank goodness UE public safety jumped right on this and worked with EPD. Glad you got all the facts. No need to waste time and money on a trial. IF he is guilty, then yes, I totally agree. Lock him up for a long time and make him an example to all young adults that this behavior is not acceptable. The university can only do so much and sadly, this crap happens all over the country. Yes, we need to make an example and certainly teach our young men that this is unacceptable, but we also need to teach our young women not to drink themselves to the point of losing control over what happens to themselves. There are too many examples of things much worse happening as a result. Personal responsibility on both sides can go a long way.

I think it's odd sometimes that when the personal responsibility part of this is brought up, it gets screamed down as somehow being the defender of the 'boys will be boys.' I will go back to the part about the university turning a blind eye to drinking parties.

We have a tendency to put athletes on a pedestal. Many of them don't belong in the same room with a pedestal.
