Is it even legal to block a shot with your shoe? Never seen this before but evidently as long as you don’t throw the shoe it’s legal?

I am guessing in some way it is illegal. If not, maybe we start sending a player out with a tennis racquet.

I love that! My first thought was that can’t be legal. But maybe there is no rule against it because nobody could imagine that happening. Makes me think of Bob Lanier and his size 22 shoes - nothing would get by him.

I read somewhere that it was legal because he didn't throw the shoe. He was holding it which I guess made it an extension of his arm.

My guess is if it isn't illegal right now, it will be very soon.

My guess is if it isn't illegal right now, it will be very soon. Knowing the NCAA, they are already on it trying to figure out a way to make money off it. Better yet, maybe the player should ask for $5,000 NIL money since his shoe is now famous and so is he if this goes viral. The wonderful world of NCAA athletics we live in. Who could have imagined
