UE is a good team but BYU is incredible. Not many teams could hang with them. Luckily this is just one game. BUT... b*tch move by Pope keeping the best players in. You don’t get top 10 in all metrics while only playing one top 50 team without running up the score like that. He was working the system to boost the metrics. I agree that BYU is an incredible feam. Tough getting beat down, but their defense and shooting is incredible. That team will contend for a big 12 title, and if their 3s are falling in March, they very well may be a final four team imo.

Does the altitude make the ball lighter? LOL

I'm trying to figure out how we shot so bad. We had a lot of shot attempts, they just didn't fall. I believe this could've been much closer. We just couldn’t hit a shot to save our lives in the second half. Plenty of decent looks that just wouldn’t fall. It all went downhill after the missed Strawbridge dunk to end the first half. I think the crowd and the BYU run to close the half got to them and we just never recovered.

ATP is happy we got some stats tonight to balance out the Eutectics game.
Bad loss but....BYU's only real road trip has been the MTE in Vegas where they beat Arizona St by 28 and NC State by 9 -- everything else has been in Provo or SLC. Will be interesting to see if they continue the hot shooting in Big12 away games.
Poorly defending the 3pt shot and giving up backdoor layups is how UNI almost beat us. Got some work to do boys.
Sorry that Cuff had a tough game back home in Utah.

With a a long layoff till our next game (December 16th at Bellarmine), we have a while to recover from this. Hopefully we get our mojo back in our next three games (with two OVC teams) before Cincinnati and conference play.

Ok we got the crap beat out of us by a very good team. Forget it. Move on and learn from it. Improve the weaknesses and train for the next games. Bellarmine will be out for revenge from last year. The dunk by Toumi really PO their coach.

I'm all for an upset. But being realistic, if we are able to somewhat hang around I think it is a great sign for the program moving forward. BYU in my opinion is really darn good. Keep it respectable and it is a positive night. Team shouldn't be thinking that, but me on my couch drinking a ski can. I can’t disagree with this, but I think you need to increase your Ski intake. Drink a couple more cans and you will get pumped up and confident of an Aces victory! I really needed to add something stronger to the Ski.

I'm trying to figure out how we shot so bad. We had a lot of shot attempts, they just didn't fall. I believe this could've been much closer. Way to many 3's in my opinion and they were contested. The wrong people shooting uncontested 3's which demonstrates why they were uncontested. There was far to many easier jumpers and short range shots missed.

One game. One loss to a team unlike any we will see in the MVC. That slice of humble pie can be used to reset practice attitudes and runaway egos (if any). If this team has true grit, Bellarmine should beware.

I hope they do take the next couple of days to rest, and refocus. Don’t carry this over to the next game.

Not saying we could have won but we could have had a respectable loss margin if at the 2 minute mark in the 1st half.Strawbridge gets a dunk block and they score 10 points in less than a minute.

It hasn't been all that long ago we were taking 40+ point beatdowns in the Ford Center from teams like Loyola and Bradley. Now we have to go all the way to Utah and face one of the top teams in the country for it to happen. We won't see anyone close to that the rest of the year. That may have been the best team I have seen us play since maybe the infamous Duke game. Just last week SIU got one this bad from Clabber Girl Tech and turned around the next game and laid out SLU by 41. Learn from it and move on.

I agree with you...it wasn't out of hand until that missed dunk happened and they hit three long threes (one of which they were fouled on) that it got completely out of hand. There really is nothing that you can do about shots like that. If they are capable of doing that - you tip your hat and move on. The main takeaway I would say from a game like this is we need to improve our rebounding and we need to continue to emphasize cutting harder and taking the ball into the paint vs chucking threes. Other than that - there isn't much to take away from a game like this. I'll be watching BYU pretty close (I generally like their teams historically so I hope they do well) and hoping they do very well the rest of the way. That was definitely one of the most impressive performances by a team that I can remember. We've had these types of blowouts before but I can't really remember a time where I've seen a team that looked that sharp and connected on offense. Time will tell if they can keep it going but they looked like a team that is going to cause a lot of problems to me.

I don’t like this scheduling. 11 days off before Bellarmine and then two more games only two days apart and 9 days off before Cincinnati.
